Is there a reasonable explanation about those XSS 'bottleneck' critics from devs?

Weird isn’t it? The hypocrisy of double standard…

Wait look at that, look at the results

What will they say then when BC is far inferior on Sony side than MS?

“Oh no problem, who wants to play old games”

Series S is a next gen console will be fine all is the same system arch except resolution will be scaled accordingly. The SX is the baseline then scaled down to XSS.

Some are really reaching lately. The fear is real. Good then MS should push way harder.

Not all new games are coming to Stadia, true. But i think the sample size is big enough to notice the difference between the reaction to it and the Series S. Or reaction to the 3090 which has no point and is obviously held back by the 3070…

I also would like if devs don’t do this generic ‘holding back’ talking points and instead argue with concrete things they can’t put in their next gen games because of Series S.

Honestly I wish the prestige devs can explain precisely why instead of just “it does”. I’d love to hear the opinion of devs who have had hands on experience with the devkit.

Pretty good summary here (multiple tweets) fr an indie dev.

That is really interesting. To me that suggests that the overarching view of consoles as boxes to play exclusive new showcase titles is dwindling in favor of an appeal to the broader platform ecosystem. That is MUCH more lopsided than I woulda guessed from the options.

Those results are hilarious, I thought Sony fans didn’t care about b/c?
