IP that Xbox should revive for Series X and forward

Perfect Dark: Third person is fine but last thing it should be is a stealth focused Splinter Cell clone. Keep the open ended mission structure with multiple objectives to complete that change depending on difficulty chosen. Bring back the “Simulants”, can only imagine what craziness could be done with it today, it could be like “Drivatars” but even more advanced.

Crimson Skies: Maybe i am alone on this but i feel like an third person pulpy action game but with airplane jacking would be a good fit for it. Your character jacks an enemy plane in order to get infiltrate a giant enemy airship to plant a bomb inside then get back to the plane before it goes up, you do that whole part on foot of course either going in guns blazing or stealthy. Have some big set pieces, along with open ended gameplay i dunno…

Yes, I understand that with some of these they will need to work out deals with 3rd party pubs, but thats what XGS Publishing is for.

I’m going to echo many others here and say Mech Assault. Imagine multiplayer with 8-16 mechs with destructible environments similar to what they originally planned for Crackdown 3. That could be stupid amounts of fun.

Anyone remember this? My biggest Xbox disappointment.

I honestly had never heard of this game. It definitely looked interesting. With the modern online infrastructure and technology today, something like this rebooted could be an Xbox exclusive MMO type of game. They do excel in multiplayer games so a new reworked version of this with hints of destiny, Monster hunter, WOW in Gamepass if done right might be very appealing to a ton of gamers.

Maybe if I bug phil enough, Brute Force will return.

Though my actual answer would be either Viva Pinata as a stellar mobile game, or Fusion Frenzy as a modern party game.

I agree, though I’m not really sure how they should tackle this. The lore/story is amazing and the original game is too simplified for making the campaign just a lengthy tutorial.

On the other hand the MP has also some incredible mechanics.

Perhaps a Halo Infinite approach to this would be the better solution: Make a extensive full fledge campaign that can extend on its own, and make the MP separated and f2p.

However that increases the budget significantly.

This, Cry On and Scalebound are my biggest xbox related heart breaks.

I expected so much from them all, and they were all cancelled :sob:

I remember being really excited for this after the reveal (was it E3?). Sucks that it never saw the light of day.

Yea I agree. I just don’t know if they would give an ip that obscure a big budget. The reality is if we ever want to get another one it would probably be a Grounded size team that works on it and it goes into early access.

Here’s one, even though it is a fairly new IP I wouldn’t mind seeing Bleeding Edge make a return, but this time I would want to see it become more of an Xbox mascot team death match melee game. Have Master Chief, Marcus Fenix, Senua, The Arbiter, Steve from Minecraft, and many other Xbox owned characters in a 4v4 tmd third person melee game. I would have it play like most shooters do today, everyone is pretty evenly matched, either have a “loadout” or have power weapons on the map everyone can grab. I would have less emphasis on the team aspect so you can actually survive it you venture away from your teammates, but I think it could be very fun especially online with tons of Xbox characters to choose from.

Am I the only one dreaming of a new Deathrow game? A brawler/sports game with great controls would be amazing online!

And a revival of either Ninja Gaiden, Otogi and Jade Empire would be a dream come true. Those IPs have so much potential.

This is the reason why we never will have a Level-5 game on Xbox. What a shame.

Glad to see all the Otogi love, I love it too.

I’d like to see them do something with Phantom Dust.

I’d really like to see more horror games like Silent Hill, Fatal Frame, The Suffering, the Evil Dead games… og Xbox was a great time for horror games.

I’m pretty “meh” on the Rare franchises, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts was kinda it for me. Is it a good game? I honestly don’t know, it broke my heart.
