Agree with just the base game. I loved and 100%'ed the base game. The DLC turned me off and I wish I hadn’t spent money on it.
The base game is excellent. A New God is just more puzzles and whatnot so that can be skipped. Myths of the Eastern Realm is great in my opinion. Rated it an 8.5/10 and loved every minute of it. The Lost Gods is good but the isometric camera view was a mistake in my opinion. It just doesn’t work as well as being full third person. Based on the few hours I played, it would probably be an 8.0/10. Still great but so many times, I was like, “why didn’t they just keep it third person?”.
After spending $100 on Immortals Digital Gold Edition and $100 on Valhalla Digital Gold Edition, Immortals was worth every penny. No regrets whatsoever. Valhalla on the other hand, I should have just refunded the digital purchase and kept the disc version that came with the Series X bundle. Thus far, Valhalla is my only digital purchase regret. lol
I’m the kind of person that skips the DLC whenever i buy the “complete edition” of a game. For some reason DLC always feels like filler or unnecessary. There’s a few exceptions like with GTA IV and The Witcher 3 though.
Good lord this DLC sucks! Started The Lost Gods and what the hell were they thinking with the camera? A New God is a lazy duplication of the vaults, and the only decent dlc is the Eastern Realm but it happens to be the shortest.
How can the base game be so good and the dlc be such a let down?!
Agree in regards to the camera. I like The Lost Gods based on several hours I played but I hate the fixed camera. It doesn’t work. Don’t know why they decided to do this. Outside of the camera, it’s more Immortals which is exactly what I wanted but again, yeah, the fixed camera was a mistake by Ubisoft in my opinion. Loved Eastern Realm!!!
