I can't boot up any game on XSX all of a sudden

So I fired up my XSX and thought let’s continue with Psychonauts 2, nope, forget about it. It won’t launch. I get this message :

Something went wrong. Give it another try, if this happens again visit Xbox.com and enter the following code : 0x87e107e2

I’ve did a power cycle already, and I’m not about to factory reset my XSX. Anyone else having issues? I get this with any game, any demo.

Sorry to hear that Staffy, when you say you power cycled it did you also completely unplug the power cord for 5 minutes before turning it back on?

If so you can also try this:

It’s fixed.

It was odd. But I took the Ethernet cable out, went via WiFi, games worked. Plugged cable back in and it still worked. A few people on Reddit had this issue at the same time as me, so maybe it was a brief outage or something. But it’s good to know this for a next time.

Thanks for helping though, bro! :folded_hands:t2:

I’ve had something similar before, no idea what caused it, no idea what fixed it. I just did something else for a bit and it worked again later lol

If it makes you feel better, I had to do a factory reset on my Halo XSX because of some oddities with games running from the internal SSD. For the future, if you ever have to, just back up your settings and games to an external drive and the on-boarding process is easier than setting up a new Switch (no joke, and having just set up a new Switch 2 as well, I have a wee bit of recent-familiarity with both lol).

The new switch setup was certainly something.
