I think the intent was to last significantly longer than the average Halo game, I think rest of the generation seems a good bet as to what they were aiming for and additional campaigns does seem to have been a part of that. The question now is if that has changed with Infinite stumbling as it has. I personally remain confident Infinite will have it’s redemption arc though, and a solid period of support as a result.

One of the tweets quoted above claimed that Terrain Editing could be on the horizon but in yesterday’s talks it was revealed that it doesn’t look like it would happen anytime soon. Rather it was on a wishlist but it involves a lot of work.
I personally think it’s fine if it was something that came out in three or four years time to give Forge a second wind. The current version offers so much that such a major feature isn’t really needed at this point. Scaling objects solves so much of that and maybe, if anything, more organic shapes will be added in the near future to help create all sorts of terrain.

Anyone watching Halo World Championship? I want to but haven’t been able so far, hoping to catch a bit today. Do wish that Xbox would use these shows to display more of their games that are coming out or more game pass stuff between matches instead of just cycling the same ads every time. They did show off something Halo related at one of the shows, maybe Lone Wolves? Haven’t watched yet this weekend as I said, but they should have at least a short trailer for Forge / winter update since it’s coming soon.
Edit just seeing the 45 minute video above of community questions etc. That’s cool they had that.
Servers down for everyone?
I haven’t checked or played today, but sometimes when I play a lot of games it will get stuck at loading or queuing for the match and the only way to recover is to Force Kill the game and reload. Have you tried that, maybe its one of those bugs?

I’ve tried rebooting the game a bunch of times. Rebooted the Series X. Tested my connection - seems fine. Still no dice.
Not managing to find confirmation of servers being down anywhere online though - so either it’s a problem on my end, or I’m checking the wrong places (here, resetera, reddit), or the game is so underpopulated no one notices/cares when the servers go down.

A reminder to everyone to try to watch as much as they can today to unlock some drops that will give you some cool skins, poses, and so on. If you start early enough I think you can unlock everything but you have to start early.
I find it a little bit confusing so I might be spreading misinformation but I think if you haven’t watched all weekend you would need to watch at least 2 hours to unlock this:
Whatever the details are in regards to unlocking it I suggest putting the Twitch Halo channel on ASAP and letting it play for the rest of the day on the official Halo channel.
To do this you need to tie in your Twitch account to your Xbox or Halo account… It’s been so long since I’ve done it so I can’t share the specifics, sorry I totally forget.

I got the blue armor coating from yesterday stream but it’s litteraly like rubber on my spartan (you don’t see it before using it)… I was so disappointed ! I can’t play with a muddy texture always on my screen.
I hope that diamond one actually looks good in first person !
Yup, 2 hours today got me 4 things. I also did the costreamer one and got a pose and another armor by watching before this started. And I think there’s a br skin during the finals maybe?

I’m not sure about a br coding for this event but the last event included a pistol and BR coating that look like the diamond armour coating.
