Halo |OT2| Forging Ahead

I think he said that Season 3 would be coming in March 7th, thus extending Season 2 by another 3-4 months, but it could have been a typo, or maybe 343 planned much more content into Season 3 than initially planned. If Forge is coming into 2022 ( which I have no reason to believe otherwise ), along with a custom browser, I think that will give 343 much more leeway with their seasons.

Oh wait that just clicked, there’s no way season 2 is extended 4 months that would be absurd, it’s gotta be the date season 3 runs till. Which if so would be good news.

Don’t believe it.

So we’re getting…a mini season? 4 months long, new maps, new game modes, forge and co-op but a shorter battle pass. I’m conflicted but it’s not THAT bad. But I am also expecting the halo community to freak the fuck out on this one.

Not terrible, not great

He says the Custom Game Browser is only coming with S3 in March… Disappointed…

And hopefully they talk about the career system progression system. It’s baffling that nearly 1 year after release, the game still doesn’t have a standard progression.

Season 3 will be 3 months

Okay, a 4 month mini-season while they get Forge and Co-op out then we’re onto 3 month seasons. That’s not so bad then, I can live with that. I was actively just thinking ā€œthe best thing they could do here is announce season 3 is actually a 3 month seasonā€ and they went and did that.

Yeah, with Forge, co-op, new maps and modes, new Battle-Pass tiers, it is almost like a new season until the next one. I really thought they would add no new content to Season 2 until March when NateDrake talked about it. So, I’m quite okay with it.

If i still played this game like I did a couple months ago, i’d be mad disappointed ngl but this isn’t too bad-ish,

They’re trying to make the best of an shitty situation and I respect that.

Just wake me up when the BR is ready to go,

So… nothing for me for another year? Godamn.

Perhaps PvE and campaign expansions are separate from these plans?

We do know they have a PVE multiplayer mode called Extraction currently in testing, it’s entirely possible it could launch as part of an event within one of these seasons. Though I’m not super optimistic if it’s not being highlighted. A campaign expansion is likely end of 2023 at the earliest though.

Yeah, it’s not great compared to other service games, but we’ll survive that I guess.

Personnaly, I’m good. Modern Warfare 2 is coming next month, beta later in september and other games to check out. It’s fine by me.

If you’re only playing Infinite multiplayer, I get why it’s bad news though.

If at least the game had Firefight or Warzone…

Sigh… Halo will never reach it’s potential with 343 as custodian of the IP.

Co Op potentially releasing in 2023 is lol worthy.

Split-screen coop canceled

It’s crazy how just a year ago today, everyone was crowning BF2042 and Infinite for saving the year because everyone was disappointed with Vanguard.

A year later, BF2042 is virtually dead and Infinite is fighting for it’s life in terms of competing with the top dogs. Meanwhile COD is about to release the biggest COD game of this generation most likely. You really can’t compete with that juggernaut.

Good thing MS is buying them.
