In the Xbox era podcast today they talked about a halo leak. I guess we are allowed to talk about leaks as long as they arnt story related?

If people are looking to do LAN parties with Infinite: the fact that is free to play is an awesome feature that solves a big issue that you might have with LAN parties on MCC.
There was a thread on Waypoint one that I’ve added to with my own tips, to address some of the challenges, ever since MCC supported LAN play in 2018:
You don’t need to read it all (if you’d like more detail you can) but there are 2 big problems with setting up LANs with these digital games. One of the issues has to do with DRM and the other being the lack of offline accounts.
The Xbox One and Series consoles do not support offline accounts, so I post a solution in that thread.
The great thing about Halo Infinite being free to play is that you don’t have to worry about DRM preventing you from playing!
With MCC you needed each console to have a person signed in who owned the game or had Gamepass. I make four consoles work by having my home Xbox as one of them (doesn’t need me signed in to access the game), on another Xbox I signed in and kept myself signed in even when other players are playing. I had to use my niece’s Gamepass account signed in on another Xbox, and my friend brought his disc version for his Xbox.
With Halo Infinite we won’t need any disc versions, we don’t have to worry about people having Gamepass, and we don’t have to worry about the game being digitally owned by anyone. Everyone just signs in with their account and can play (conceivably, obviously I’ve never tried this yet).
And there’s something really awesome about that. Where any Xbox owner can invite friends over and play four player splitscreen competitive for free and with no barriers.

Ya it’s hella bad. The test was last weekend but I feel like it was a month ago. Hoping they squeeze another one in in the next week or 2.
I don’t want to play anything else. I don’t care about any other upcoming game right now at all. I want infinite more than every other upcoming game combined.
