Halo 5 Mythic Arena is up. That playlist is such a blast to play. It’s the perfect mix between old and new Halo. The weapons and mobility feel amazing and I hope that’s what Halo Infinite’s multiplayer will go for. Also Classic BR starts is a blessing.

I really tip my head to 343. Halo 5 is now 5 years old and still feels better to play than anything thats out there today. The Gunplay is just unmatched.

Not as controversial as you might think.

Halo 5 is a fantastic shooter - easily the best core gameplay in the series.

Just picked this up myself last week in preparation for Infinite. It’s such a good book.

Yeah, I definitely need to buy The Spartan Field Manual, Halo Warfleet, and Mythos.

I really hope 343 support high tick rate servers after playing valorant for a while it’s hard to go back to other games

What’s that?

It’s the speed at which the server updates what the player sees allowing for more precision aiming and movement. If you’ve ever played a game online where you were certain you got that headshot but it didnt register because the player wasn’t exactly where you were aiming. It’s because of how slow the server is sending you the other players information. Faster tick rate smoother online experience.

Edit: a example would be cod warzone which uses 20 hz tick rate servers. This means the server is updating 20 times a second where as a game like valorant uses a 128 hz server so its updating 128 time a second. The cons to this are people that are playing at faster frame rates have even more advantages then just frame rate they can actually see every tick of information being sent to them. I think a good 64 tickrate server would be best since this game will still play at 60 fps on xbox one and one x

Agree 100%. IMO in Infinite they should have “modes” for the different playstyles. “Classic” for people that don’t want sprint, thrust, etc and “modern” for all that Halo 5 goodness. Best of both worlds.

If Forge and customer game browser are free to play…Mother of God…this game is going to hilariously dominate the Steam charts

this is very imformative! i hope they also support this. good stuff

Typically these types of servers were a luxury only tournaments have but games like valorant already use 128 hz servers and csgo has used 64 hz servers for along time. If 343 really are trying to push halo in the esport direction this is a definite must for them

youre getting me excited! but then again, i need the hardware to take advantage of this. Especially with a new monitor and doing quick searches bring me up to EVE and LG sets that arent out yet.

Dont really need hardware as even halo infinite on xbox one would also get these benefits since it will play at 60 fps as well

ooh okay, i just need to grasp is better then. thanks!

Its just missing those three green dots that were in Halo 2 and Halo 3 ODST. Its not that different.

I’m fairly sure that MCC and Halo 5 have 60hz servers…

There are way more differences than that.

The dimensions and overall silhouette are very different and it’s missing a hand guard for one.

I should also add that the Halo 2 pistol was the most boring design in Halo up until now.

Anybody interested by the emergent gameplay ?

We saw a kind of shock grenade in the trailer, impacting all foes around.

Hope it can be mixed up with interacting with the environment. Like activating, deactivating things or devices etc. Restoring power, incapacitate turrets…

Or throwing it in a pool of water with grunts nearby and enjoy!
