Halo |OT| Master Chief's Breath of the Wild Moment (Part 1)

Getting quite a lot of games today where a team either starts with 3 players, or players drop halfway through. Network issues? It’s really annoying.

On this subject, I’ve come to the conclusion that the best approach in ranked matches, when you’re a player down, is to find somewhere to hide and wait for the clock to tick down. If you try to compete with fewer players on your side, you’re going to wreck your kpd ratio, which then seems to drop you further down the rankings afterwards. Whereas if you hide and preserve your kpd, you don’t seem to drop as far down the league. I think, anyway. Most people seem to keep trying to win the match which is futile and, I think, harmful to your progress.

Lmao if you think the complaints are bad now they would be approximately 300,000 times worse if they added REQ packs aka lootboxes with weapon variations that can be OP.

I liked the REQ pack system.

Everything went to extremism over the last 7-10 years, you can’t make a constructive criticism, gotta make death threats because you think the banter your parents screamed at you would work. Can’t have constructive criticism because it is considered being as “annoying complainer” or even sometimes bad as harassment.

Halo old time players don’t care about cosmetics, they just want the 1-5% of this content with classic colors and armors, they probably find Halo Reach and beyond customization as silly. That doesn’t mean it has to be grind as hell and/or poorly done with the challenges that have been promoting nonsensical plays in very detriment of team work. IMO the new generation of players are too much addicted to the sense of getting stuff almost as a drug, rather than having the fun of the game itself.

The MP has the best gameplay and stuff, but misses some of the game modes and the community manager coming out saying that it wasn’t implemented because of the UI shows some serious issues within this aspect of the company (management and devs). And its has been buried entirely on MTX complaints.

Is this real? Surely not.

I understood it the other way around: UI was designed like this because they were not expecting to have several playlists at launch or they were planning to add them later when more modes were available. But clearly community wants something else right now, so they need to change it and that requires some dev time (hence these will appear later this month).

Been having enough fun to upgrade to the premium version of the battle pass. Helped that I had enough Amazon gift card money to get a $15 XBOX money card and then get the battle pass upgrade for free, haha.

Now back to SERIOUS issues, this was a BTB match yesterday

Got shot behind a rock with a sniper

also: f*ck pulse carbine

Another match where we started with 3 players. Then the other team lost two players. So our 3 player team ended up winning. Seems like something’s up with the servers today.

Looks like you were lagging

That shitshow of a community is rivaling league for most toxic community I’ve ever seen.

Pulse Carbine (and needler) have far better lock-on range if you zoom with them. Also, de-sync sucks.

Good breakdown on what’s changed with the Ravager.

Makes sense why it was feeling worse, because the ttk increases so much at long distance, where you usually wanna use the gun but where its the worst to use, and that just forces using it more at shorter range, range in which the AR is much better anyway.

And the area denial potential with the AoE is not strong enough either, as people can easily just walk out of it without much problem, relegating its use to only being viable in Strongholds and nowhere else and even then it just lasts for 4 seconds, which will only come in clutch in super sweaty competitive last minute plays at best.

The variant is apparently even worse than the standard, which bounces the projectiles around.

:grimacing:

Does the variant at least cover the entire map in DOT to make up for it?

Lol

Halo community during the earlier Infinite trailers: “Ugh, why does Chief’s armor look so new and glossy and pristine? Doesn’t make sense”

Halo community during the later trailers: “Whoa look at Chief’s armor! It’s all battle worn and meesed up…it looks so good!”

Halo community when seeing the armor sets for the multiplayer: “Oh of coures all the free armors you get look all dusty and worn. And of course the ones you gotta pay for look all glossy and nice and clean”

I still believe it’s only a few hundreds (maybe less than that) of people that are ruining the Halo subreddit. They know every eyes are on them, so they just go full Godwin point with every of their comments. Mods are overwhelmed so they can’t keep up and they find that funny… What a pityful way to get your narcissistic boost… Most of the time you can ignore these guys, but they always find their ways.

Back on topic.

I’m getting more and more familiar with these maps. I discovered some sweet spots and strategies to dominate in some modes and maps. Nothing crazy, but there’s so much to learn even if you get the layout pretty quickly. Knowing where are the weapons and when they respawn is super important.

Also, I’m slowly learning to use the grappling hook. Getting to someone running away and smacking him in the back will never get old.

theres a glitch where you can get out of the map and just explore it
