Totally!
So, what are the chances of VRS and XVA optimization features being in this game? This would show the power of the Series consoles without a massive increase in graphics.
Id love to see RT in some capacity because Ill be pretty let down that even after a year of just polish and graphics it doesnt make it in. You know it will be negative noise around the xbox and its capabilities even if the game looks and plays good.
āFlagship xbox game has no RTā
Yes but the game will likely run at 30 FPS and Iād rather they make the game playable than push for RT
They cant do 1080p RT 60fps?? Or 1440p 60fps rt?
Only 60 fps game with RT on next gen consoles so far is the Performance RT mode in Spiderman. Lower resolution, lower quality RT than 30 fps mode, reduction in traffic/pedestrian density.
Best way to play the game, but definitely some concessions.
Idk how 343i is gonna get the base Xbox one to run the game well with the open world like design
Same way Coalition got Gears to run.
Reconstruction maybe?
ā¦the cloud???
Manā¦I messed up. Shouldāve played this on our show. So good. Imagine this stuff with good surround sound or headphonesā¦
Does so much for the immersion. Audio is really damned underrated in the immersion experience.
Idk
We are overcomplicating it. Itās going to be like running newer games on your old PC. Change the res, lower the texture quality, and remove AI.
Guessing: 480p or 720p Up Res / Check boarded with low-med textures @ 30 FPS. Limited GFX and AI on the screen. 480p/720p with long load times are unacceptable to me but most gamers, not on forums or twitter, donāt care. XB1 & XB1S are $199-250 and 7yr machines, you get what you pay for.
Yea probably I remember that dealer and colteastwood were hearing 720p 30fps
My predictions -
-
Xbox One / Xbox One Slim - 720p @ 30fps
-
Xbox One X - 1080p @ 60fps, HDR
-
Xbox Series S - 1080p @ 60fps, HDR, Ray Tracing, etc.
-
Xbox Series X - 2160p @ 60fps, HDR, Ray Tracing, High Settings, etc.
Yes itās going to work the same way it does on pc. But the problem is the Xbox one is surely lower specked than the pc minimum spec.
If they can get the resolution down to 480p and do some sort of reconstruction at 900p or 1080 than I think they will be ok. Because thereās other things they can do like reducing. Texture quality, shadows, draw distance, ai complexity, and lower framerate, also could limit the enemy and character density. Reduced player counts, like limiting the game to only 2 player split screen. Itās been teased that infinite has some really big player counts, so whatever mode has a lot of players, guessing itās the new big team battle mode and it could have 50+ players in it. Maybe Xbox one doesnāt get that mode?
But if they donāt have a good reconstruction method and instead HAVE to use 720p(because anything lower is so bad it isnāt really an option) they could run into issues.
They have said their engine is very scalable though, so Iām not too worried about it.
If raytracing is in, I expect two modes.
Series S - 1440p 60 fps campaign/ 1080 120fps online. No raytracing on both. 1080 60fps with ray tracing on both.
Series X - 4k 60fps campaign with raytracing/ 1800p - 120fps online with ray tracing.
Agreed.
You expect online to be 1800p with 120fps and with raytracing? No way.
If we are lucky 4K/60fps with raytracing or 1440p/120 with raytracing.
4K/60 or 1440p/120 should use about the same amount of resources.
