Thanks Team.
Up 97 to 55 and nobody bothered to try and get the last 3 points.
I truly hate people. Nothing but imbeciles.
Btw just got a challenge that requires me to use the Banshee’s fuel rod cannon. Thanks 343.

Yeah I think the game would really benefit from custom playlists. People clearly would rather play slayer than objectives.
If someone asked me what progression model I expected from a 2021 free-to-play game, with a battle pass system…
Being just like a full priced game from 2010 that predated battle passes, would have been WAY down my list
This is constant in my Halo experience. Whoever are the most braindead people I get stuck with.
Makes me rage more that I have a fucking win An Oddball match challenge and now Im stuck with it again.
So 343 deliberately made a bad version of a model that is designed to force players to grind or spend money. How is that better than a model that works for devs and players?
Indeed. That was a time where the progression system was not designed to extract money from you. There is a happier medium to be reached but we are never getting Reach’s exact progression system.
Because the game is f2p and needs to make money. All people are asking for is better XP rewards and countless other games have figured out the Battle Pass system. Its not rocket science.
It’s not better for players. They did this to make money off of us on their free game
I should have known the battle pass would be a painful grind when they said it would never expire. 3 months probably isn’t enough for most people to get everything.
Is it really ‘painfull’ when you’re chore is playing Halo Infinite?
Nah. I think this one is especially grindy because the season lasts for 6 months, which is twice as long as what seasons normally run for.
200 to 17 in Strongholds loss cause teammates dont go for objectives.
They really need curated playlists.
The game seems to have JBMM as in @javycane Based Matchmaking, where whenever he gets on the game, it just matches him with the admittedly worst players so he can get mad frustrated again and again.
Im playing well but literally Get teammates that want to play fucking slayer on Stronghold and Oddball.
Bruhh it’s gonna be a whiiiiile before Forge, damn and that’s after missing modes like Infection and SWAT.
If 343 wants @Shpeshal_Nick to continue beyond a few months, they gotta add SWAT ASAP!

Pfhorbear in his video credited Doncabesa for the suggestion of giving a lousy 25xp per match as being something to placate gamers (even though we are already accumulating more than that via the constantly repeating finish a match challanges
All I can say to that is, I sure hope if they did do that, they would still maintain the constant play a match challanges. Otherwise we’ll be making a heck of a lot less XP…and I suspect most people won’t even notice and be happy with this change, because they will see the meter move more often, though drastically less over time
Just got a decent team that knew what they were doing in Oddball and we just won 100-0 and 100-4 lol.
Thank you god
Fracture starts next week
The number of XP points per match is arbitrary and for 343 to decide, it’s the suggestion of the system that should be at focus, not the quantity compared to what’s being given now through challenges.
Also, getting a static amount every match instead of over time bundling up that experience at the completion of challenge gives reliable, granular control of progression. Imagine you play 4 matches one day, but the daily challenge requires 5 matches to get the XP. Then the day is over, and the challenge refreshes, so you just didn’t get shit for that 4 matches in the current system, whereas if you gave the XP after every match, every match counts, and you don’t need to worry about not stacking enough matches back to back to get the “bundled experience”.
Just give per match baseline static XP (not one that reduced over time the more you play which is another annoying feature of the current model), instead of whatever roundabout way the challenges do.
