Halo |OT| Master Chief's Breath of the Wild Moment (Part 1)

Threw a ranked match and my team is ass. 25 total kills on the team I got 10 of them.

Nothing new and its unbelievable how you cant turn off crossplay in game for ranked unless you go through the xbox system settings.

IMO Halo Infinite’s problems right now has less to do with the amount of maps and more with the amount of modes available, and playlists of which there’s absolutely nothing right now for those who don’t wanna play certain modes.

Ugh I’m pretty sure for rank you can do input based MM, theres even stats which shows M/B / controller / mixed.

They will come in due time. If you followed how they treated the MCC, it is gonna be fine. Maybe, they were still working with the engine or whatnot, but I’m a bit less critical because of its F2P nature. It would have been bad if it was paid.

Man am I jonesing right now. Stuck at work for 5 more hours. At least I have you guys to keep me hyped about…challange progression and map count complaints…haha, I’m kidding

The progression thing is a legit conversation to have. I’m admittedly far less concerned about it as some, as all I want right now is to be able to play more of this damn masterpiece, especially now that I shut crossplay off and know I’m on an even playing field

And as far as the maps go, I’m actually very happy there aren’t more then the 10 we have. The less new maps to learn, the faster I can learn them. I mean, don’t you guys notice the difference from when you play one of the fresly introduced maps versus one you played a lot of already, in the flights? Map knowledge makes such a difference to your approach to a match

They can introduce more down the road, but no rush, as far as I’m concerned

But these things have always been there I dont know why we have to wait so long. These are like basic things … playlists and gamemodes.

We don’t know how things were during development, so things are not probable as easy as it sounds. It will come, that I have no doubt about.

So there was never a big bug or everyone called into the studio last minute lol

Yeah development was a disaster we know. Fact that co-op is 6 months down the road and forge may take a year is telling.

Honestly, I don’t think for one second that 343i intentionally hid away so many game modes. If they were ready for launch, they would have put them as well. I’m fine with them taking things one by one, it is supposed to last a long time, it is free, so i’m not worried whatsoever.

I just don’t want Halo to be SoT or FO76, where it gets to a great spot eventually and people be like ā€œyoo you need to get back to Halo bro, they’ve added a lot now and it’s in a good stateā€.

These games were not free.

Well, we can definitely say it was real bad at some point. Maybe things were much better after Staten came in and pushed some things back to take them off their plates. But I think it’s safe to say it was bad before he came in at least.

My biggest problem is just the XP and some matches not earning anything, just give us 10% XP based on our score and be done it with.

There has been a few games with the first season being the worst and if this is the worst season for Halo Infinite, we’re damn lucky because it ain’t too bad. They will listen to what we have to say as long as you’re not a prick about it and sound demanding, they’re people too.

But it is in a good state, they didn’t launch with 1 mode and 1 map. They will add things over time but the biggest issue right now is XP.

I think so too, that’s why I’m less critical and fine with them making sure the core gameplay is working well at first.

Boosted I mean this in the nicest way are you capable of for once not trying to spin every single bit of criticism man. Like really at times the amount of washing in this forum for the slightest complaint is ridiculous.

Halo Infinite is free because Microsoft decided that it was the best way to get Halo into more people thats it even when factoring game pass. F2P or not we all have expectations as to what Halo has or is.

I mean this in the nicest way too, but I am sorry if I’m enjoying games sometimes. I can understand criticisme, but I’m tired of cynicism. It is F2P, not paid, no matter the intentions, things will come.

The encouraging thing is that the core gameplay loop is great and the mechanics but the game is light on game modes, so so on maps and the progression is horrendous after people complained about it TWICE.

All fixable but this cant be a 6 month affair.

Yes you can enjoy but also admit some valid criticism which seems to be in unison and it has nothing to do with cynicism. I resent the implication that we are all cynics here.

This f2p thing cannot be an excuse its bullshit. Would had been the same complaints even if it was locked behind game pass.

Everybody is enjoying the game, people being a little critical doesn’t mean they are not enjoying. They are not mutually exclusive. It’s condescending to suggest otherwise.
