It’s IGN. You’re better off not expecting much from them.

No changes to the drop wall, BYEEEE

I thought it was decent in arena, shite in BtB

So glad to see a radar distance increase for BtB. Still feel it might need a small increase in arena as well but didn’t find it to be as much of an issue there

It seemed fine in BTB when used strategically like capping a point and just plopping it down as a way to detect if someone was incoming (felt the need to shoot it a bit), or as a way to protect from sniper fire as you held the vantage point. Obviously not great in dense firefights.

Split feedback on player collisions ROFL. Ya right.

Radar Isn’t going to be in ranked so changes made don’t matter to me for arena. Glad to see the range being expanded a touch for BTB.

I was already so-so with the commando so the nerf will keep me away from it even more.

Kinda sad that they arnt nerfing the OP and no skill assault rifle but since it’s probably won’t show up in ranked too much I’m not that worried about it.

As far as the HUD goes I think there is a lot of room for improvement. Way to much info in the bottom right corner to take all in durring the heat of battle. So I’m a bit sad that they put HUD as a positive.

Happy to see behemoth get the recognition it deserves.

Welp 343 had to put that blog post out, so YHMAH will be live this Thursday (and we’re going weekly through the launch of Infinite!). You can leave us a question at the link above for this week’s show.

If you read between the lines of their comments, they obviously feel that the flightings playerbase hasn’t worked out how to use the drop wall and threat sensors yet. If they buff them they will end up overpowered when players have worked out the best ways to utilise them.

The same thing happens in fighting games a lot, where the community will scream for something to be buffed at first sight, and two months later, without any changes, are screaming for the same thing to be nerfed, and vice versa.

I’m honestly surprised the VK78 gets nerfed. I would have expected it rather gets buffed by 1 bullet.

I mean, I don’t really care for player collision

343 have made this Elite sound really awesome (and they’ve nailed his look)…i hope they can somehow translate that over to gameplay. I mentioned it a while back but it would be interesting if they can make him an enemy that disrupts the battlefield so to speak. It’d be cool if he was the Infinite equivalent of the Doom’s Maurader where when he turns up you think ā€œoh shitā€¦ā€. Whether they give him a different attack pattern or even some of MC’s abilities or something like that. I think he shouldn’t be just an Elite but with higher health.

4 hours is a decent chunk of time so I really can’t wait to read what IGN made of the campaign. Really hope they came away buzzing from what they saw and how 343 have made the open world feel work brilliantly (especially after all the talk of the campaign being in dev hell for so long)

You don’t care one way or the other? Or you don’t like it? I can’t freaking stand that it’s off. IMO one of their only terrible design choices in the entire game.

That’s a bit dramatic, I don’t know why people are so up in arms about it. The only thing that is kinda sad about it is the cool custom game modes that use it to have fun jump on your friends head to get to the next spot sort of thing.

I never thought about player colission before and wouldn’t have noticed it if this wouldn’t have been mentioned

Nah it’s not. When Im Shooting someone and my teammate walks through me instead of around me it makes me shoot my teammate and I can no longer see the enemy. Grenades bouncing off teammates backs, and rocket shots into their back. It all happens and it’s terrible.

I play competitive so I don’t want something stupid like that costing the game. I understand having it off for social I guess but not ranked/competitive.

Up 49-48. Have the last guy just about beat. Throw a sticky at him. Just as I’m throwing it my teammate walks through me and my sticky hits him in the back. It kills us both…. They win.

Things like this will happen a lot and it will be really bad in ranked because there’s friendly fire. The one doing the friendly fire will end up getting booted because of it even though it’s not his fault in the slightest(it’s the guy walking through who’s to blame) 343 will be forced to address it(at least in ranked) before too long.

I’m just giving real honest feedback from a dedicated halo fan. Love the overall direction of the game, but will point out when I see a bad design decision.
