Lets take the senario 200/250 € series s / + gamepass during holidays… the question is how many people will still play on xbox one a year from now?
A lot of people.
This is what Im thinking.
His job description says he shipped all UI for Halo Infinite though and only lists XSX|S and PC, why would it say all if he didn’t do last gen and also if he only did current gen why would it say all. I’m not really taking this has concrete proof as it’s canned on XB1 but it sorta does point to it in a way.
I’m on the side that it doesn’t really matter to me if it’s on XB1 or not, being on XB1 would probably be best for player base wise considering how little next gen consoles would have sold by it releases.
This would be crazy
This is the right answer. If you all remember, Microsoft decided to transfer the Xbox One version to an external studio. 343 is working on Series X/S and PC. Even devs from 343 who started on Xbox One no longer are working on that version. There would be little benefit for 343 employees to include it on their LinkedIn.
Wouldnt surprise me if Sperasoft are the ones handling Xbox One port.

Did they confirm that
Drop the xbox one. At this point, a 30FPS 720p Halo Infinite is not appealing to anyone. So unless they have some mighty optimization miracle up their sleeves, it’s better to drop last gen. And it’s another incentive for people to buy the new console. Series S will sell like hot cakes in november.
Dont get what dropping a version the main team may not even be working on accomplishes beyond cookie points for console warriors.
Also they need the xbox one version for XCloud right now.
So is the halo infinite only for next gen confirmed ? Why isn’t this picked up by media outlets ? Is it on resetera?
Sorry, I don’t say they should drop it. I say that if they have trouble making the game run on 2013 hardware, which is highly probable, I think everyone will understand the decision to drop it. And frankly, I will be less nervous if they do.
Use that SSD in full. Use that power and the whole set of features. That’s what I want, but of course it’s my opinion.
Devs know what they can and can’t do. But I totally expect they do drop it and announce it soon.
What this new info (if it’s true) tell us, is that focus may be shifting towards next-gen platforms. So maybe they still have a port for last gen, but the team is going all in on Series X|S. That’s a good sign !
At this point, I think 343i know what is best for their game. If there is an Xbox One version, it is because they know it is working there. If there isn’t, it means it is not, as simple as that.
Yep it seems making the game gorgeous is a top priority and based on 4 and 5 being technical masterpieces I have no doubt infinite will as well
First thing off the top of my head is forge items. Series s and x could probably allow for 3-10 times the amount of customization as Xbox one.
Yea because of the vastly superior CPU among other things
Yep. Announce it by March 31 and give the team a full 8 months to maximise the new consoles
Yep do u think its true?
I think it’ll happen. I explained why on our last episode. I go to great lengths in fact lol
If they decided to drop it then they probably made that decision months ago which would give them 12+ months to make the game everything it could be.
I think they realized with the delay that the xcloud servers will support series x hardware, so what would be the point of making an Xbox one port.
If I was on Xbox one i would rather have a streamed Series x version than play a Xbox one port.
At the end of the day like the other user above said. I trust 343 on this. Whatever decision they make in regards to the Xbox one port I’ll support. If they feel it won’t hold back series than ok. If they decide to drop Xbox one to focus their attention than I’m fine with that too.
