Underwater would be dope but I doubt thatāll be a thing in infinite tbh.
Iām just imagining itād be fire to have a multiplayer BTB map with more aerial and underwater sections (like seen in the 2018 reveal trailer). Messes with the sandbox completely tho and there have been zero weapons, equipment revealed for it, that I doubt itād be a thing. But if you mean like just boats and shit then I think thatās possible.
I better be able to hunt space cattle with a silenced BR and sell their carcasses to neutral grunt merchant Zeta ring settlers to upgrade my left shin plate from rare blue to epic purple or this game is going to blow. The ball is in your court, Joseph.

I think itās a good idea to have this in an overview/vidoc style so they can really show off whatās new to Infinite, give examples of combat scenarios, how good the AI can be, different environments etc. A more ācontrolledā viewing as well can help avoid any Craig type situations (though no doubt some will be watching just to amplify any flaws).
I have a feeling this will do a good job of getting the vast majority excited for the campaign and then I imagine theyāll round it off with a launch/gameplay trailer at the anniversary event.

Guess they wanted to get it out before the 20 Anniversary stream since the entire internet expected it to be a part of that. If it wasnāt part of the plan, and they didnāt get it out first, theyād have been utterly battered by the reaction.

Just had a depressing thought ā I REALLY hope that they donāt just show PC footage on a 3090.
I want to see actual Series X gameplay, or maybe show Series X, Series S and PC if they want to, but would be annoying to end the stream still not knowing how the game will actually look on the main device it is made for.

honestly, I would actually want them to do precisely that for this overview video, because this is gonna be the first impression of campaign visuals after a year and a half and itāll stick and make waves on social media, as such having the very best possible visuals is gonna be important from a marketing POV.
Then when Nov 15th comes around, do the deeper dive uninterrupted gameplay on a Series X/S.
Iām not expecting too much from this though, probably mostly the devs talking.
Oh I know it will be, but I do think it will be similar to the multiplayer overview and I thought that was good and informative. We still donāt have a very good grasp of how this campaign will be structured etc, so getting a condensed low down of it will be very good.
Iāve no idea why people think Halo Infinite is showing up on the 15th November. It seems like people think its confirmed. Yet all we know is the 15th is a celebration of the 20 year Xbox and Halo anniversary and is ālooking backā. Iām not convinced its going to have ANY new stuff and there hasnāt been a hint it will.
I do not know about confirmed, but Halo Infinite is being marketed with the event in some capacity, as evidenced by the banners.
You also have Xbox only shooting down any reveals for new games and not updates to existing games, and then we are in a situation where the 15th of November is only 3 weeks from release and is usually when publishers have a press day etc, so it might not be a bad time to show gameplay at the event, especially as Halo was there for the launch of Xbox.
All I need to see is actual gameplay (not in-engine cutscenes), even if it is a collection of clips rather than an extended gameplay section.
Just want my mind put at rest that it is as good visually as multiplayer is, and thatās fine by me.

Is it being marketed with the event? Iāve not seen that. Its an Xbox and Halo 20 year anniversary - have people not jumped on the word Halo and decided that means Infinite is there?
You mean the announcement of the campaign overview? Yeah that was on very short notice lol.
But I have never said it was guaranteed. I just noted a few reasons why it could be there. Like I said, if it isnāt there, we will definitely get a media blow out either shortly before or after because the press usually gets hands-on with the game a few weeks before launch.

It was already not too great that the E3 footage was just a flyby and also in-engine, but it wasnāt XSX either and neither last year. So it really is time to show Xbox. Should easily be doable now that the game is nearing completion. Weāll see.
