Halo |OT| Master Chief's Breath of the Wild Moment (Part 1)

I hope speed boost is in this game as an equipment pickup. Also really excited about using the Mantis in BTB in halo infinite. Maybe you can stomp at the right time and kill someone trying to grapple to you

Thruster is in, don’t know if it helps.

:grimacing:

Finally !!!

I live in a place that’s still bad for COVID so I only go out shopping once every two weeks. So today I see a whole bunch of Halo Infinite tie-ins with various products, which is pretty neat.

With the Rockstar energy drinks, you can unlock skins for the Warthog, among other things (I forget what exactly and I don’t want to say anything incorrect). Seems worth picking up if you drink energy drinks.

With Pringles you get 2XP cards, meaning that you would get two times the XP for the next 30 minutes after activating the card.

Which I guess means you want to fit as many matches into a 30-minute time span, because that’s the only way you get XP is through finishing matches?

I don’t care for the Season Pass that much. But I do have to say I’m taken aback by how badly conceived this whole thing is for Infinite when pretty much all of the biggest games have implemented working season pass models. Even the new free-to-play Bomberman game has a workable Season Pass.

The YHMAH podcast touched on this and mentioned that the season passes would get better through feedback over each iteration. But it seems ridiculous that it is being designed by committee rather than 343 coming up with their own decent solution. It’s as puzzling as how they weren’t able to settle on a sensical campaign co-op solution. I just don’t get it.

Anyways I’m just ranting here and I really don’t want to be kicking 343 when they’re working hard during this final stretch to make a product that is held to impossibly high standards. I am cheering them on and hope they turn a lot of heads with Infinite.

But something about seeing these promotional tie-ins and, more specifically, that they’re nearly useless got me thinking about this topic again.

It doesn’t bother me since it is unlimited in time, making other Battle Passes in other games stressfull to me.

Which is a great feature but yet another thing that makes these 2X boosters almost useless.

It’s a weird mess. I don’t not bother by the mess but rather puzzled by why this mess even exists. It sounds like MCC handles progression way better, so I don’t know how this happened.

Mainly because they have to figure out how to transition to a F2P model, which MCC wasn’t, so they have to monetize it in some ways. I figure it can be more complicated than we think.

The most egregious part of the xp booster is it counting staying in menus, loading, etc as part of the 30 minutes too. That’s unacceptable and needs to change. Besides the fact that these promotions/tie-ins are again all Euro American based.

Damn I’m excited for 10am as a competitive player. The ranked settings will determine if I spend 100’s of hrs with infinite or 1000’s.

Are you a competitive player? Or in HCS?

No not HCS. I used to play real comp about 10 years ago. Now I just do it for fun.

I think it would be smart to have competitive or hcs settings and ranked settings the same.

I know usually they don’t do this, but if they want people to be into the tourneys than it would help if the people watching played with the same settings. I don’t think infinite needs 3 different play settings for social, ranked, and then competitive.
