I’m definitely hoping for pretty big single player story expansions every year minimum. As for free or paid, I’ll say free in Game Pass Ultimate or you can buy each expansion. My guess would be $20 for each expansion because GPU would be cheaper and entice people to subscribe which is what they prefer over buying it.
Every year is pushing it if you actually want meaningful story expansions IMO.
I would think that they would have a separate team for the single player story expansions plus they would be reusing assets and outside of the story/characters, the rest would be the same as the base game. We’ll see what happens though.

Does seem the game takes place a Forest biomes. Nothing wrong with that for me but yea people will complain

Makes sense 343 would want to focus on one part i initially. With further Biomes, id like to think 343 will change it up, say have the likes of snow, sand, earth, affect the gameplay, instead of it just being there for show
343 has said in a q&A months ago they want to experiment with things like snow storms

Outside of that opening region, have any of the other regions been shown? I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s an extra biome/region that only those who have already played the game know about and would obviously be under a strict NDA to not say anything.
I will say that im not a fan of desert areas in games as they just don’t have the visual appeal of others most of the time. The only game I loved the desert was Mad Max because it fit the game. I didn’t like the desert in Gears 5 and just played through Outriders for the 4th time this year and those desert regions are my least favorite.
So if it truly is just a forest biome, im perfectly fine with that. In fact, forest/jungle region is always my favorite or second favorite in every game that has different biomes.
