Phil recently talked about the whole cbomb issue and how they’re looking to fix that, like how playstation did when they got backlash over it. Think Destin made a video on that. That must extend to the whole online requirement to set up the console, which is a needless requirement and it going away I think would solve half the problem.
Ultimately, I do think all this matters, but oh well, let’s agree to disagree I guess.
Well, that made Xbox One the first main home console to not be hacked and play pirated games, ever. It’s not needless for sure to them and publishers.
It’s all hypothetical and panick-y though. It’s needless worry about stuff that might be a problem in 20 years or so, I seriously wouldn’t give it much energy.
I mean game preservation is precisely about long term, 20 years is not even that far btw, so that’s indeed the whole core of the matter, it’s not about the world two weeks from now, unless of course the Omicron variant built different this time around and gets most of us in the coming week or two lol.
Yep, same here. When a sandbox allows many ways to play and take on enemies, experiment etc, and also explore every little corner for logs/journals, it’s gonna take a long ass time!
I wouldnt use a speedrun achievement as an example of how long it could take
Considering some of the movement we’ve already seen people pull off in the campaign, im expecting much quicker times, like even if the game is huge I wouldn’t be surprised to see sub 1 hour times, Skyrim can be played for hundreds of hours but a glitchless speedrun on the hardest difficulty back in the day was over an hour
But thats speedruns from top players blittzing through the main story, I fully expect most people on their first run to take well over what any of the original games took
obviously looking at lore of zeta halo, I dont see how we don’t get a full flood expansion (and with hw1 and hw2, it can be a full faction instead of just a handful of forms(carrier, infection, combat, pure)
Always a possibility, I’m pretty confident they aren’t in the base game but who knows what the future has in store for Infinite in terms of expansions.
