Halo Infinite - Campaign Hands-on Previews

This sounds great if the game has varying areas and locations.

An achievement mentioned for speed running mentioned finishing within 8 hours apparently so it’s definitely a much longer one I felt 5 was pretty short

Really Halo Infinite plays like MGS5? im pretty sure Halo Infinite has no stealth I don’t know why Grubb be saying these things make no sense if anything Halo Infinte plays more like Far Cry and or Crysis 1 than MGS5

I’m on Gamerlorian’s side.

Watching a bunch of previews for Halo Infinite, I have only seen Grubb mention BOTW/MGS 5 and thankfully, I don’t see either in Halo Infinite because that would mean I would be hyped for playing the next boring, empty and bland open world game to date. No thanks to that.

Halo Infinite if anything is a homage to Bungie’s original Halo Combat Evolved and has nothing to do with BOTW/MGS 5 or any of these other weird open world games that either don’t have any shooting in it (BOTW) or that’s meant to be played stealthily (MGS 5). Neither of which apply to Halo Infinite.

It’s open world formula is basically a Ubisoft Far Cry game but on a much smaller scale and with none of those shitty RPG mechanics.

Back to Grubb, I like him but he’s confused because he’ll say it’s BOTW one minute and then back track by saying it’s not and then explain it all. I’m like what?

Maybe when Grubb says BOTW, perhaps he means to where it’s going to most likely be the most successful and popular Halo game or that it will revitalize and rejuvenate the franchise like BOTW did. This I can see and understand but in no way, shape or form is Halo Infinite even remotely like BOTW and/or MGS 5. Plus, both of those games, you have to look for basically every damn thing which doesn’t apply to Halo Infinite.

Either way, as long as I end up loving Halo Infinite’s campaign and my last thoughts/comparisons are BOTW and/or MGS 5, I will be a very happy gamer!!!

Ok, for the last time

The reason he’s compared it to BOTW is because it takes the original game (CE) and makes what a modern CE would be if it was made with current technology and in Grubbs view this is what BOTW did with Zelda 1

He’s not literally talking about how the game actually plays, he’s not saying you go around riding horses, climbing trees, glide over the map or whatever other crap you can get up to in BOTW but what the two games represent for the franchises

He’s literally explained what he meant and people still dont get it

and its pretty damn obvious by the MGSV comparison he’s talking about how you can approach each area and deal with it whatever way/method you see fit, drive in with a mongoose, stay airborne in a wasp, fight from a distance with a sniper rifle or charge in with a full powered grapple hook etc not that you sneak in with a cardboard box and snap some necks

This isnt rocket science

So you are saying Halo Infinite is a stealth game now? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

It’s just a make your onw adventure type of game, just that, not hard to understand.

I have play MGS5 and i have see Infinite gameplay i don’t care what anyone say you cannot tell me it plays like MGS5 wtf lol

How am i trolling? do you not understand gameplay ?

do you not understand words?

read what I said in my past comment, neither grubb nor myself is saying it literally plays like MGSV, you’re not going around sneaking, snapping necks or fultoning sheep

He’s talking about the freedom on offer and how you can approach each situation in whatever way you want with whatever abilities you want and whatever arsenal you want

Do you not understand that i can disagree with his takes or anyone else takes what you describe to me is Far Cry not MGSV lol

Do you by chance take everything litterally? Or Is there a chance there’s something (like language) preventing you from fully grasping the distinctions made? Because that’d be absolutely fine.

MGSV was called third-person Far Cry by some when they showed Its open world gameplay for the first time. So it’s fine to think there are some similarities between FC, MGSV, and HI.

Just saying my thoughts on horrible takes that is all so if he comparing Infinite to MGSV why not do the same for Infinite and Splinter Cell or Infinite and any other 3rd person stealth shooter wile we are at it

The stealth aspect isn’t the one relevant here. It’s that both games throw you in a sandbox and give you weapons tools and vehicles and you choose how to approach the missions and enemy bases however you like.

I mean it’s fine to disagree, although like I said, he’s actually played the game and you havn’t but sure, you’re welcome to think differently

The problem is you seem to keep taking everything Jeff says literally, he’s not saying Halo has the same gameplay as those games, if he was id agree with you because it obviously doesn’t but thats not what he’s saying
