Hey all does anyone have experience of using Guitar Hero or Rock Band on Xbox Series X/S?
I really fancied playing it today, dug it old for my old Wii and sadly one of the main buttons on the guitar no longer works.
Just wondered if any versions are actually compatible, I’ve been looking around Google but comments are very mixed.
For example some suggest it works but none of the tracks are available etc.

It’s actually one of the main reasons why I keep my Xbox 360 around. I know they have released new guitar controllers recently as Fortnite Festival has something similar to guitar hero. If not I think the Xbox 360 controllers were compatible but with an adapter which has shot up in price quite a lot in the last few years if I’m not mistaken, but I don’t follow this too much so I might be wrong here.
As for game compatibility, I don’t think any of the Guitar Hero games are backwards compatible sadly. Rock Band is but you had to transfer the songs from the past games over to the Xbox One version I think and from memory that is no longer a possibility, so you’d be quite limited in terms of song selection I think.
I’m going from memory here though, you might wanna double check just to be sure. But I think, at least for Rock Band, it’s not impossible, but it’s complicated.

Thanks I forgot about the Fortnite thing. I’ll take a look at both .
Rock Band 4 runs pretty well on the series and all the dlc from the games still come through… Though that doesn’t help you with the wifi.
Sadly the Xbox indie made songs are no longer available… I will always miss you ziltoid rock and album

Excellent thanks, I’ll check it out.
It seems the majority of players have moved to something called Clone Hero on PC.
