So I was watching yet another analysis video, a long one and these two guys speculated about the male protagonist being a cop as well. A theory that the bodycam bit of the DEA agents busting through the door is Jason. This would mean that it’s not just a simple love story between two people, but a lot more. I’d love it, because it would actually be something truly new for the franchise. We’ve never played as the “good guy”.
Also, years ago there was a rumor with a lot of info about Project Americas and I could swear it spoke about one character being a cop and the other the crook. It’s actually something I hope doesn’t get spoiled by some leak, and that Rockstar just gets to reveal that themselves in a second trailer or maybe not until we play it ourselves.
It’s really just a theory though. For all we know the bodycam part is just from ingame TV.
