I will never understand why anyone takes what D-Pope has to say seriously regarding Xbox. He’s been pretty consistent in his disdain for the brand for years, going back to G4.

The lengths some people go through to dismiss Gamepass will never not be amazing to me though that’s for certain.

Yeah I agree with your sentiment, It could easily appear like their strategy is to become Cable TV vs Sonys Hollywood/Netflix (although I love those services not everything is a 90+ experience), but when netflix first launched you could make the argument it was actually worse than cable tv in terms of its content.

It took a couple years before you saw the House of Cards, OITNB, Stranger things, Daredevil etc content that really gave it the seat at the 90+ table it rightfully deserves.

sorry, i agree with your (the OP’s) opinion that its not actually MSFT’s strategy, it just appears that way because their has not been enough time for the AAA experiences to develop
