Despite the recent price hike that all will follow very soon (sadly), they still managed to look consumer friendly than the rest.

Just UE? Hmmm. Not for me but oh well, bring on EDay

In game pass/free upgrade so I’m sure I’ll check it out at some point.

No Switch version? Thats a bit surprising.

Happy for all newcomers to the series. I have 2 versions of Gears 1 already and no need for this.

Oh, its free. Nice!

Same feelings as with The Last of Us Part 1.

Amazing game, everyone should play it, but not sure we need so many remasters when there’s a perfectly good version still available. Oh well, Game Pass to the rescue. I’ll happily play the campaign again for new achievements.

Oh yeah, and it’s cool that PlayStation peeps get to experience this masterpiece.

I think Switch 2 announcements in general will come in bulk, like perhaps another Nintendo Direct before the big launch or maybe shortly after.

At least the owners of the last remastered will get it for free. Oh and it’s $40 with multiplayer.

I bought the disc though. :skull:

Game Pass then. Lol.

Yeah, I can’t wait to replay it again. I’m not happy though. I can’t be…

I’ll destroy some Playstation players in MP though, it will be my mission!

Looking forward to playing it again!

Maybe they’re testing the waters by only releasing the first game. If it does well enough, then they’ll go back to the others. Nice touch with the free upgrade either way. I just checked to be sure, but I did purchase the UE back in the day.

I must admit I’m very surprised they only did 1.

I’m also surprised it was more of a light touch (4K assets and new textures) rather than a full on remake either.

Full on remakes are incredibly expensive and time consuming.

True but if the aim of re-releasing it everywhere is to attract new players ahead of E-Day, wouldn’t you think they would want to put their best foot forward?

When you consider how long this has been rumoured for it seems a bit of an anti-climax IMO.

Gears was released the same year as Oblivion and I think it’s fair to say that Oblivion remastered feels very dated and clunky despite looking fantastic.

I’m a huge Gears fan but it does seem a bit odd to me, regardless I’ll still be playing it day one.

Remind me of a character who sacrificed his happiness to alternate the time for everyone’s else to be happy except himself.

Agreed. I guess the rumor turned out false. I think this does give it a chance to be more mainstream like COD.

Not really for PC; Its kind of a bad version there that is 9 or 10 years old.
