Anyone seen any Game Pass Ultimate deals this holiday season? This is the first year I haven’t been able to find a decent discount. I usually load up or myself and my kids at this time of year.
The closest to deals I’ve seen over the past couple of months were ultra cheap Xbox Live Gold codes for 3 months for around $9 from cd key sites. When redeemed on an active GamePass Ultimate it would add 50 days.
Im surprised there hasnt been the typical direct GPU deals this year. If there has been any, I havent seen them.
I’m afraid the ABK deal means and end to cheap Game Pass…

Well it’s still a fairly decent deal around $9 for 50 days (via 3 month Gold / GamePass Core conversions), working itself out to around $56 for 12 months of GamePass Ultimate.
Yes it was nice while it lasted. It’s absolutely why I always try to top-off my subs for 3 years. Better to get it now before price increases.

Immortals of Aveum is… 90% off on Xbox.com if you’re a Gamepass Ultimate Subscriber - I’m unsure if this is account specific, but worth a look if it was on your “have a look when it’s discounted” list, as it was for me.
Fair warning - I was expecting some sort of Unreal Engine 5 tour de force with astonishing effects and visuals, which is sort of why I bought it.
…the opening scenes (all I’ve played thus far) don’t seem to deliver that.

For the last few weeks/month EA discounted a lot of their games. Most of the time it’s the deluxe edition for around -80-90% off.
With Forza Horizon 4 delisting, if you want the base game Newegg has it pretty cheap for a digital code. I think it’s 8.72, which is less than the one on the Xbox Store.

I hate how the Xbox store works, it was telling me I could buy the standard version, and I was like oh do I only own the add ons? But I appear to own the gold version and not just the add ons so not sure why it doesn’t show I own standard…
The last Forza I only have physically is FH 2 and I’m mad at myself for not having bought the digital when it delisted.

My thoughts exactly whenever I look at sales that includes anything Ubisoft. There it’s even worse because they seem to have even more versions. I know I own Game XYZ but what level of the game.
I know why it works the way it does, but logically I’m always asking myself “why doesn’t owning the base game and the Season Pass or Deluxe Upgrades show up as me owning this?” It feels like I’m always having to break out advanced calculus for Ubisoft to see what this item offers me – if anything at all.

Yeah, I do get the logic also, but it drives me nuts that they don’t have different rules in place that prevents me from having to think about it. I’m sure I’ve accidentally bought another copy of a game because of this. I did see a warning once recently that said you already own part of this bundle, but I want more of that before I am putting it in my cart.
If I was product owner / program manager for their store there are a bunch of things like that I’d want to change. I have to design stuff with our employees / customers in mind and try to come up with business logic that minimizes them making stupid mistakes, and it just makes me annoyed that they don’t have that focus.

Newegg has 12% discount on $100 usd Xbox gift cards, their normal when they have them discounted is 10% so it’s a little better than that.

The Anker 737 isn’t strictly a gaming item, but from where I’m sitting it’s the gold standard when it comes to power banks capable of powering portable devices like the ROG Ally.
