Games Analysis |OT| Time To Argue About Pixels And Frames!

Yeah, I hope devs watch the video. As I say in the other thread, I love the general aesthetic, stylized vampires aren´t common.

Yeah, me too. Aesthetic is pleasing looking from a distance. Textures are just hidden behind bad performances and optimization.

And it’s surprising coming from John. He could have been way more critical, but I think he liked the game or just refrained from being to harsh on it.

Yes, he said he was enjoying it: https://twitter.com/dark1x/status/1653280511412826112?cxt=HHwWgMCzzbP30PEtAAAA

All this tells me is that I have no idea about game dev. What’s an ETL btw?

And this is what I hate about games and constant patches nowadays. If I had the game I would be pissed. And my TV doesn’t have a fine tune dark areas setting.

Seems like barely any effort was done on One X. Anyone still with only an One X, I suggest waiting until you have a current gen system.

More vram than 4070ti… But not out of the ordinary trying to squeeze low end buyers and get mid level buyers to get a more expensive card.

Reading the analysis just makes me sad that Nintendo didn’t coincide switch 2 release with this game as John says would have liked to play this on new hardware to see what they could do with it.

Getting all these gameplay elements working almost bugfree in a huge open world alone is a tremendous achievement.

FSR 1 looks meh on the other hand and the sharpening is a bad decision imo judging from the video. But I have to see it on the Switch screen, often videos look bad but in person its fine.

In the Nintendo tree house videos it looks quite good when they are in the cave. But out in the open world the aliasing stands out a lot, not good. Man it’s such a shame Nintendo is sticking with this old hardware. People want to blabber on about how S is holding back gaming, Switch absolutely is holding back devs when it comes to visuals. Imagine if Switch had been at the very least a PS4, let alone a One X.

The game has a very pretty art style but I can’t with the aliasing and the over all low Resolution. It just looks so washed.

Game looks bad but is so good. I am legit tempted to stop playing it now to do so when the inevitably Switch 2 patch launches alongside the console.

Even the OG Xbox One would have been a massive upgrade over the Switch.

Always nice to see The Coalition feeding their technology back into the engine.

Excited to see their work. Their games always look stunning.
