Games Analysis |OT| Time To Argue About Pixels And Frames!

Maybe it’s a good idea for VR.

So I get the whole considering budget argument, but how much of their budget would go into adding autoHDR at least?

If a game is within a 5 frames & like 500p difference it really makes no difference for me in my opinion DF is fueling the console wars more with their comparison.

I’m curious how the BF-2042 Open Beta will show the differenced between Xbox One, One X, Series S, and Series X. The Xbox One/OneX versions is only 9 GBs while the Series X|S version is 17 GBs. You can also install the Xbox One version on the Series X.

For completeness, the PS4 is 20 GBs, PS5 is 16.5 GBs, and PC is 19 GBs.

It wouldn’t cost anything, but that’s dependent on the console, not the developers. Guessing since it’s not a BC game, auto-HDR doesn’t apply.

They provide data analysis and statistics. It’s the gamers who are console warring.

That is a huge difference in file sizes…well between the Xbox One and PS4 versions at least.

But it’s an Xb1 game upgraded for Series, so isn’t it bc? Also, are there no examples of non cross Gen games using autohdr?

It’s a native Series X/S game. :slightly_smiling_face:

No, it’s two different SKUs, or games as they could say. As listed above, it’s 17 GB for SeriesX|S and 9 GB One/OneS/OneX, with 20 GB for PS4. So it’s big difference between Xbox generations and big difference within same generation of XboxOne and PS4.

It installed at 13.3 GB even through the download was only 9.3 GB and then it also reserved 4 GB of space under saved data, along with a 1.1 K save file on the Xbox One.

The Xbox One version running on the Series X seems to be stuck at the main title screen where neither A nor Y function at all. Those features function fine on the One X.

OH sorry, I was talking about Allen Wake. Is it 2 different skus as well?

Oh. Alan Wake Remastered is a single SKU and sells physically as a single item as well.

Yes but them console warriors use that as fuel for their wars which is hella stupid. Now if DF stop with these comparison them warriors would have no ammo to start a war lol

Nah, when idiots are posting clips of exploding fruit and popping tires as a way to bash a system/game, it’s clear console warriors will find something else to use as ammo. In this respect, the idiots who use DF as ammo need to be held accountable, not DF themselves IMO. Even if there wasn’t a single comparison made on the internet, the console warriors would still pull the same crap. It’s what they do and they’ve had plenty of experience since grade school doing just that.

So Series X with:

Higher resolution

Slightly better and more stable frame rate

Less screen tearing

And I remember Valhalla painting a wholly different picture, it is clear those issues with the tools are gone for sure and I love to see it.

Wonder where those clowns are now with mocking the “but teh tools!!!” Not on this forum though.

I actually read one hilarious claim, that Ubi fully focused on Xbox because they got the marketing and thus XSX is the better version and in turns this means PS5 won’t have raytracing.

The shit folks make up

RT in what game?

Far cry 6. Probably some dumb concept of “parity clause” as if Xbox couldn’t do RT like PS5 so they omit it from both.
