Games Analysis |OT| Time To Argue About Pixels And Frames!

All around win for Xbox. Native 4k and locked 60 on series x, exclusive 120fps mode, shorter load times and 12Gb smaller install size than ps5. Ps5 also can’t lock to 60 in any mode.

100% clear win here

Isn’t ME Legendary Edition a backwards compatibility game?

Technically it is but it plays best on Series X regardless with a whole extra performance mode compared to PS5.

So 4k60 mode is perfect on SX. 1440p120 good but has some issues on 1st game (and perfect with VRR).

Ps5 version is good at 4k60, but with dsr and some drops (but shame no VRR to fix them), 1440p60 mode is perfect but not needed given how well it runs.

SS good at offering both the same IQ as SX and PS5 but at 4k and also a good 1440p60 mode. Neither are perfect, but VRR (+LFC on the 30fps mode) makes it really good too.

Weird for them to not point out the loading time differences after making such a big deal of it on RE8

Especially when the difference is even bigger this time.

Maybe there was a patch or something between the two videos? Or the game wasn’t installed on the internal in the first one?

No it is the same apparently.

Wow, seems like a pretty big oversight then. Thanks for the confirmation! It’s really weird how they just showed the SX loading when they mentioned that the times were the same across platforms.

In all cases, loading times are fast at least

It’s true! This current generation is a massive improvement, and we should all be thrilled!

I was one of the doubters about loading times being a big deal… but it truly is one.

The big deal is the jump from HDD SATA to NVME drives, between NVMEs the difference will always be trivial and related to engines, games code, etc…in other words, unpredictable and ultimately negligible.

Yeah, I was talking about the jump from HDD to SSD.

Does anyone know the performance of snowrunner on series x? It shows as an Xbox One X enhanced game so I assume 4K? Any Info about framerate?

Is it on gamepass? I can load it up and check it out for you.

Yeah it just got announced as coming May 18.

Cool thanks. I’ll check it out and report back.
