FH4 is on sale for 6 dollars right now on Steam and I still don’t want to go anywhere near it after having played FH5 lol
No idea why that game got the same MC as FH5 when in retrospect you can see so many problems that I simply don’t wanna experience again in the franchise, things that FH5 is improving by a lot. Progression (Accolades), Sound, Expeditions (basically campaign), all miles better than 4.
Maybe we’ll be saying the same about FH5 once FH6 comes and FH5 will be considered just OK by then. But I still think it’s fair to say FH5 will age better and be revered more two to three years from now than where FH4 is today.
And the answer is simply… The game was simply the best Racing Game
The game reaches it peak with all the bugs it had. That tells you how good that game is.
Freedom of driving is something which no other game delivers like FH 4 delivered.
FH5 is even better.
And Meta score are useless as always. They are collective of some 100 game journalist at best.
You should believe in 24 M+ players who played FH4 in 2.5 years and 10 M players who played FH5 within 10 days. That simply tells how good FH4 was at its peak and how much better FH5 is over FH4
My opinion is exactly based on having played FH4 then and FH5 now, FH5 has added so many important features and QoL that I would never wanna go back to FH4, plus Britain was far less exciting than Mexico personally.
It was among the hardcore… And mostly because of the Hot wheels DLC.
FH4 captured something unique for me… “Calmness” which I don’t find in FH5 (too much air time in Mexico, I like I am flying in this game)
I bet FH3 must have captured something which makes it better the FH4.
But more players played FH4 then FH3. So I don’t know how one can justify a game is worse one the game is being played more. It’s simply a subjective opinion to call one game better then other.
FH5 is not facing the same critics like FH4 because it has gone back to FH2 vibe according to many hardcore gamers.
btw if you thought Steam sale was the first time I’m thinking of buying the game, no haha, as I had already played it through gamepass over a year ago. Just that buying it outright even at that low a cost right now was aversive to me after having played FH5.
It’s not strange that more and more players play each entry with 3-4-5. It follows the trajectory of Xbox popularity and availability on platforms and Game Pass. There was what, 100 people on Xbox One when FH3 released?
