Forzathon shop not live yet. I bought the treasure map through xbox app on PC just fine the other day.

It’s because it does not have TAA. I am not sure if this is a choice in order to have a sharp image because TAA does blur the image, or whether Forza tech is incapable of it atm.
I do think Forza Motorsport 8 will have TAA judging from the trailer last year, so it might be in the lastest version of Forza tech. Plus it will be needed in Fable because you would think that game will have a ton of foilage, which MSAA is not suited for.

Exactly what I was thinking, Fable. For a open world game full of detail and also a game for 2023/2024 I sure as hell hope they’ll have a good solution for it, you don’t want grainy/jaggy foliage, something that I do see especially with the trees in FH5. Not sure if jaggy is the right word, but it looks grainy to me. And by that time we will have had many games looking super clean.
This is probably so far my only downside for FH5 after several hours yesterday and today of playing.
I do think that if I played this on a smaller screen and not a 65 inch from about 2 meters viewing distance it would be better, but it should not have to matter how far away you sit. Even some Xbox One games are 100% clean. Hope they’ll sort this out for Fable for sure.

It’s an in-engine trailer, of course you can glean something as basic as what sort of AA it is using, I am not talking about assets or anything like that. It is something you cannot just put in on a whim as it requires fundamental engine changes.
But like I said, I think it has it, but not certain.
Where is the player count people post pics of?
Main Festival, look for a star symbol on the map.

I assume Hears 5, RDR2, Psychonauts 2, judging by the trailer of Halo too all use something else than MSAA? Or games from the other side like Ratchet, HZD and FW, Uncharted, etc?
The other day I played Homefront 2 and it has TAA, resulting in very clean all around. Truly hope they go for that with Fable, it kinda has to, to be honest.
Preety much every modern game uses some form of TAA due to its ability to clean up shader aliasing, plus it can be cheap to use in modern engines, and Forza is really the odd one that still uses MSAA for some reason.

Well, let’s hope MSAA is history for PG once Fable comes out, or more like let’s hope they opt for TAA right now during development.

I read some Steam reviews and the average level is as bad as Xbox reviews @Ruthwik_Rao, it seems it’s not like Steam is home for the illuminati. XD
The best quote is “woke game”, lol, for a car game.
Anyway it trashed a pc gaming mainstay like FM 2022 released the same day, is has 5× reviews, which is a rough indicator of how many did buy it.

So my girlfriend installed horizon 5 yesterday and i didnt think much of it as she installs and tries 99pct of the games that get added to gamepass. Racing games are usually not part of that 99pct and if they are they get deleted in 5 min. When i came home in the evening i saw she was playing horizon 5 and she said the game was great. Fired up my series x 1nd had a look at her gamerscore and wtf she already had 200pts on horizon 5 so she played the whole afternoon instead of doîng what she had to do. Stupid anecdote maybe but it shows playground manages to lure people in who usually dont care about racing games.
I m very impressed with the game as racing is imo much tighter then 4 and map is much better too. Love how there s finally some weight to the cars. Solid 10 for me.
