Yeah it would be amazing in photo mode. But it still looks great.
Indeed. Sometimes it looks almost real. But you always feel like something is missing.
You know I realized when looking at the old Impala that some cars might just be too shiny. Never seen one that shiny.
Whoever that is, they are pretty good with drift zones. Almost every zone I’ve done I’ve narrowly missed out on beating their score
Welcome to Mexico
Adding raytracing to photo mode would mean creating the bvh acceleration structures for the whole world in detail. Forzavista is only available at select locations.
Well GT does that…
What a strange comparison. GT is not a massive open world.
GT also didn’t look too hot the last time we saw it
It doesn’t look that great in gameplay. That’s no secret. But it looks great in replays and photomode.
I don’t think that you need all of that to take a photo. I don’t ask for RT during gameplay. Just in photomode. And maybe replays.
Man holy shit this game looks absolutely ridiculous
And it feels really good to finally drive on the RIGHT side of the road again
Hardware accelerated raytracing needs specific data structures to work. Its not just flipping a switch. The game is already 100GB big. They have raytraced audio for every point in the game but in this case you need way less detail for calculating convincing sound occlusion and reflections than for pixel perfect light.
GT has Circuit Maps
We are talking about open world here
Don’t judge on that one screenshot. It was clearly a mistake from who ever complied that trailer
It’s pretty obvious that a game like GT could never look that bad.
I believe that’s depending on the engine. I noticed some games allow you to switch modes mid-game and some don’t, so It’s probably the same with RT.
Playground could have litterally lied and told us they used RT reflections and I and most people would have believed them
