Today at Gamescom Xbox Game Studios and Oxide Games revealed their first gameplay trailer for Ara: History Untold. It is a turn-based strategy game where you build up your empire through history. It has clear inspiration from titles such as Civilization and Humankind.

First announced at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase in 2022, we haven’t heard much from this game since the reveal. An insider program has launched this year, with multiple insider tests. Ara: History Untold is set to release on PC in 2024. No Xbox version has been announced as of yet.

One of my most expected games next year. It seems like a combination betwern civilization games and age of empires.

Sounds like we have a real battle between Civilization 6 and Ara: History Untold. Someone who has played Ara: History Untold early.
