I think it’s good they delayed it. With Avowed and Kingdom Come getting good reviews, they can serve as a benchmark to further tweak things.
Disappointing, but Xbox should have a solid H2 on paper regardless. I’m hoping that E-Day is slated for this year and fills the gap.
I think this delay will be made clearer at the June showcase. What if GTA is delayed till next year.
Apparently NateTheHate is speculating that Fable might be a day one for PS5 and this delay is because that version isn’t ready. My buddy said the same yesterday.
But how about no? Perhaps the game overall just isn’t ready. It wasn’t part of the Xbox show in January, not necessarily a red flag, but still, it’s not that shocking. Disappointing, sure, not shocking.
If it does turn out to be the reason that’s when as a customer I draw the line where I’m ok with this multiplatform approach. But at the same time, these companies will do whatever they want, and we’ll never know anyway.
If is what it is.
Don’t trust Nate The Hate, he has been proven wrong in numerous occasions. Same as any other leaker, i have lost a lot of faith with many of them. Its just speculations and rumours that don’t pan out.
So ignore it you you can.
Also, the game is not even out yet and its likely cause of technical issues, which is almost always the case for this kind of thing.
Also, if that is the case then they would reveal it on Xbox E3, but by then their immediate actions would have to be about maintaining core customers of the ecosystem cause its one thing to port an older title to another platform, but is another thing about releasing a new game from a well know legacy title.
I hope they don’t burn bridges by focusing to much on playstation and nintendo, their focus should be more on the open platform like Steam and Epic, were they get more of their money worth without having shady deals behind close quarters.
Sorry for the response Staffy, but i really DON’T wanna hear much about NateTheHate.
It’s also entirely possible that they really don’t want to risk releasing soon to GTA VI. Nobody wants that and there is a chance it actually drops this year, I mean according to Take Two it’s on track, but even then I say take it with salt.
Hopefully Fable goes to early or mid 2026, not later. We’ll see.
Nate didn’t speculate that it was delayed to release Day 1 on PS5, but that because of the delay it’d probably be ready on PS5 at the same time. He was already aware of it coming to PS5 in 2026.
At least this game remain to exist…
This multiplatform thing never ends. I’ll say it’s very possible one of the reasons for the delay could be to get it on to other platforms. I mean it’s been in development for over 8 years now and from the looks, it does look like it’s ready to go. We will eventually find out in June.
True. The game has been said to have been pretty expensive so I would imagine they would want to get all that back.
Nevertheless i think right now, we should wait and see how things play out, things change drastically within a year. We have seen it happen many a times before.
Although am curious about what stunts Xbox pulls to maintain core customer interest for the foreseeable future of its own ecosysteml, because gamepass and play anywhere is great and all but it won’t persuade many in pursuing it, right now its all good but i do think having more stuff would be a welcome addition. Cause they are playing a very risky game that can blow up in their face in more ways than one if they ignore its core customers in favor of closed platforms that seek the destruction of Xbox in more ways than one. Its why many are unbothered with PC, cause most of them are not anti-competition compared to Sony.
I would also stress that take anything from a leaker with a grain of salt. Its what needs to be the case at all times. No offense pg2g, i just learned not to trust Nate whatsover and given how he has leaked in recent months its usually to paint the brand in a bad light for current core customers.
Wondered how long it would take for the usual suspects to start spouting baseless scaremongering about PS5 version.
If you think about it logically there is absolutely no valid scenario where delaying a completed Xbox/PC version of Fable makes business sense. Even if they were planning a day and date PS release (I don’t think they are/ever were) they would have just shifted it to the same model as IJ and released for PS at a later date.
Too late.
Done by the same guy no less. Then folks wonder why many have grown to distrust NateTheHate, the timing of his rumours make this very apparent, even if at times they have been proven right, but not by much.
