That’s why I’m only hoping lol
Is Caelid the most dreadful place in Elden Ring? I think it just might be. I can’t stand to stay in that place for long. The goddamn red sky, dead shit everywhere, that haunting ass music, the fuckin annoying ass T-rex dogs and bird/pterodactyl thingies.
I love it, every other zone just progresses normally in difficulty, Caelid is a wildcard, tastes like apocalypse.
I just did Tower of Caelid… I love when From makes you take the weirdest unorthodox paths to proceed lol.
I think the dino dogs are kinda cool. The curved trees and the… Nasty mold looking stuff everywhere is gross though. Place feels cursed.
Blame Malenia
I’m getting a little nervous I might make it to nearly the end of the game before I actually find anywhere to buy meaningful sorceries from. The game leans heavily towards faith and incantations, and the incantations all look so much cooler than my various permutations of magic missile. I’m considering switching if I don’t find any decent spells soon.
Anyone want to give some vague spoiler-free suggestions where to find a sorcery merchant? Places/people I’ve found so far: Rogier - three crappy spells. Another dude in the church outside Stormveil Castle - three more crappy spells. Sage Gowry - disappeared from his spot beside Sellia/Sorcery Town after I helped Millicent, before I could buy all his much better spells. I think that’s it. I was very hopeful I’d find someone in the Carian Academy, but nope. I’m carrying around two spellbooks I need to hand to a great sorcerer, but can’t find one. My as yet unexplored but explorable locations are: Carian Manor, Mt Gelmir, Leyndell. Should I head to one of those perhaps?
And you can even get there very early and has amazing farming spots especially for sorcerer.
Exactly. Learn from what ER and even to some extent what BOTW did and not bitch about minor UI issues. Go above and beyond. Be inspirational. Then you get your 10s.
Famous high risk, high reward area.
the one in waypoint ruins? there’s a “dungeon”
Hmm, I don’t seem to have found that location yet. Which general region is it in?
Limgrave, after the big bridge
there’s a big plant spitting poison
Thanks, found it. 80 hours in with Intelligence at level 38 and I only just find the main sorcerer NPC.
I just beat the Putrid Avatar and got 90k runes lmfao. Insta Lvl 56 to 60.
It was pretty much near damageless cuz this one in particular was basically one shotting me, but I had kinda mastered everything about this enemy after beating the other easier one yesterday.
I’m hunting down some optional bosses before continuing the story. I think I’m pretty close tot he end.
Gotta say, some of these are rough, but damn are most of them fun. There’s a couple of crap ones though that I’m not looking forward to revisiting though…
Games bloody fantastic. Wish it was easier to play co-op. Think being able to run the whole game with a friend at increased difficulty would be so damn fun. Maybe that’s the sequel?
Yeah I just beat the duel gargoyles. They are a fucking pain in the nuts. Did not enjoy that fight at all. And now I’m near the end of Nakron City and oh my Lord. What I assume is the last boss in this area has one of the craziest move sets I’ve ever seen in a From Software game.
Fought the Bell Bearing Hunter at Warmaster’s Shack last night. Gotta say, I freakin love his moveset lol, it’s so anime. But it can get really annoying if you’re like me tryna stay at a distance and wait for him and he just spams the same goddamn move again and again. Thankfully enough, if you stay close to him, he won’t be able to do most of those long range floaty sweepy blade attacks, so I stayed close to him on the latter runs against him and beat his ass. The reward was extremely underwhelming tho, just thin bones and hefty bones at the twins? Hell nah. I wish I could get the dope ass Ash of War he uses. Oh well.
