The thing I’ve realized with this game is that the difficulty is very in-your-face from the start which is what gets people all upset and begging for an easier mode. But I see the difficulty as just another component of the learning curve that comes with this series. But people play an hour of it, play aggressively or hack-and-slash with no understanding of the mechanics and then complain that it’s too hard for most people.
In reality you should pace yourself, experiment with the combat on lower-level enemies, and accept that death is going to happen. It’s all difficult but it is built in a way that patience ultimately pays off.
I spent my most recent time playing just riding around in areas I shouldn’t be, exploring and finding the map fragments. And holy wow this game is HUGE. Those elevators down…down, yeah I’ll just leave it at that but my jaw dropped.
The gap isn’t as huge as one would thought for divided console/pc sales. Basically, Xbox still has strong fan base than one would admit. I got to say though, I didn’t think the PC crowd is really that large. Sad they have (or had?) a rough performance.
So there was one site of grace that I discovered in one of the underground areas in Waypoint Ruins but I struggled to find any others in the Eastern area of Limgrave. Are they really that few and far between once you get around there? I also cannot find the map fragment either. Any tips on whereabouts I should explore?
Crazy numbers. The very notion of a souls game sellign this much is nuts. But also points to hule and marketing. No way in hell that many people would be able to play a game like that.
Also can we stop this lol xbox sales are poor rubbish now? Over 30 percent on xbox digital compared to 40 on ps. A lot of people were dismissing xbox becauae itbhad low physical sales
I have to pre order a game in gamestop to even get an x ox copy. My physical copy of KOFXV never came day 1. Do i cancelled and got digital.
Anyhow. Amazing ER sales. If its the biggest launch since RDR2 it ahould put worldwide week 1 sales at around 7 to 9 million.
Map fragments from what I’ve gathered tend to be at those tablet/ pedestals type things. And those show up on the map even if you haven’t unlocked that part of the map. I usually place a marker at one and make my way to it to uncover maps of those areas.
With the clear success of Elden Ring on Xbox & PC. If From Software was going to make any console exclusive it would make sense for it to be Xbox + PC vs just PS.
I don’t get it. Didn’t CP2077 sell like 8m just in pre-orders??
So basically Elden Ring has near 10 million sales in first week itself? That is kind of insane honestly, and here was Bamco expecting 4 million sales in a month or some super conservative estimate like that.
not really, there’s rumors their next game might be a Sony exclusive, and if it happens many years down the line, then Sony might as well have plans for 6 months to 1 year later PC port which is completely doable in their strategy.
One thing I don’t quite get is how they say PC sales was 73% Digital. Where does the other 27% come from on PC? I thought they’ve stopped physical sales decades ago.
