While I agree, I have to admit seeing PS5/pc get other fixes that are not server related, while they still continue to pretty much ignore the Xbox players, is a bit naff. I expected as much though, and can play just fine as is. Oddly I’m not having any server issues at all.
Edit: I’m sure they will come though… maybe. I just don’t have much hope in this case sadly They really dropped the ball with the Xbox version, feature usage wise. It’s like a Xbox one game with limited next gen support.
I guess I forgot that valid critism doesn’t matter or something.
And that last bit right there, that is not good, not at all. If it ever comes. Hope DF makes a big case out of it, but meh, who cares about those few Xbox players.
I may sound overly negative, but i think it’s valid. As for what will get fixed, hopefully all the issues eventually. Long loading times aren’t any less annoying as framedrops.
He doesn’t get it for free, and earlier than everybody else, either.
To some of us, a $60 is a risk, and we need to know what we’re paying for. When we hear the game’s a technical mess, we kinda have the right to criticize it, want it to get better… Or are you implying people reporting the trash performance/optimization and neglect by From to competently support Xbox hardware are simply lying?
Not everyone is sensitive to the really bad fps and pacing, like Dark Souls 3 was the first time I experienced it myself and every From Software game I’ve tried that came after DS3 feel bad to me.
I remember playing the BC version before the remastered came out and getting as far as Blight town but having no clue how to progress. When the remastered launched I decided to use a guide because I didn’t remember much from my first time playing, after getting pass blight town and going back up for Sen’s, the guy in the guide was talking about how Sen’s is this super hard area that he feels everyone should experience on their own.
So I jumped right in without the guide and it turned out to be the easiest area in the game, to this day is still so easy, that I wonder if the difficulty was from bad framerate.
He was just being a little too whinny and then he pulled the ‘oh I guess we’re not allowed to nyeh-nyeh-nyeh-nyeh’ bullshit. So I lost my cool and just said something fully inflamatory.
I get that I am spoiled with some of these titles. Hell, I often feel guilty, as many of them are wasted on me, because they don’t even interest me. This was also one I wasn’t nearly as interested in as most. Though in the end I wound up being so impressed with it and don’t agree with a lot of the critique I’ve seen…But can’t deny there is too much to dismiss
Anybody else keep pressing the left stick in during horse combat and keep getting off? The controls are difficult for calling your horse as it is, but that button… man…
I don’t need to, the videos show it all and the impressions here as well. Let’s not act that you need to play it, to know that things tech wise aren’t…great.
We can only hope it will get fixed, because it’s otherwise a great game. For me that’s based on the network test, which already was really good but from what I’ve read that’s only the beginning.
I spent most of the day in what’s presumably the intended first traditionally Souls enclosed level, Castle Stormveil, and it was magnificent. Like Boletarian Palace on steroids. It’s such a familiar setting for them and yet they went overdrive on the verticality and openness of it. Really hope there’s more of that in store. It’s a welcome contrast to the sprawling world, while also being seamlessly part of it.
Then in the last hour or so I finally made a proper effort to head east in search of a radically different landscape to the same old autumnal cliffs I was moaning about. Boy, did I get it. Never mind From Software’s Skyrim - game’s taking a turn for the goddamn Morrowind.
Stop bitching about the review scores. Some of the performance issues with the game isnt great. Doesnt change how much of a masterpiece this game is. Thats how critics score a game.
I cant even play online due to my GPU running out lol. But i play souls games offline first anyway. Ive gotten use to the FPS and worked ways to fix it. It doesnt bother me as much as it has
Outside of thst 1 freeze glitch in the 20 odd hours ive spent i havent had any issues. No clipping through walls, no poor hit detection and no getting stuck inside walls no enemies dissapearing like i had in DS3 and no bullshit bugs where i wouodnt get souls for killing certain enemies.
Game is way more polished than any other soulsborne game was at launch. But they do need to fix the network issues on xbox ive been hearing about. But offline is great. Just the issue with thr FPS but you can woro around it and deal with it
