Had they done it I wonder how much of a subs mover it would have been. I mean it would have been huge, but according to what Mort posted earlier not a lot of people are playing it on Xbox. Of course Game Pass means PC too, well, assuming MS of course would have included it for that. Could have been huge overall for GP, but for Xbox as console…

If I had to guess why MS won’t do it’s it’s because they’d say that it’s the cost of a full AAA game that they’d rather spend on 1st party. I think it would’ve moved a decent amount of subs and would’ve given them great news coverage and hype around the service, but what do I know really. It might be MS being too reliant on data

Like why is this an issue exactly?

And Fromsoft games aren’t the kind of games where there are numerous elaborate questlines all happening at the same time like Witcher 3 or AC or whatever that you need a log to maintain their progress or whatever.

THIS. It’s like saying sod improving performance, just get a 3080. Not everybody can, or even should, get a better TV. In this case it’s even more baffling as the results are the opposite of where they should land.

I look forward to seeing what the day one patch even does. The network test wasn’t great at all, performance wise, but if its WORSE… That’s actually amazing in a whole other way.

Was watching the fextralife review this morning and we have near identical pc setups(2080ti + i9 9900) but even he was getting issues and recommended playing the console version which is shocking. It is the before the day 1 patch but that’s still pretty bad performance

I know some people are somewhat frustrated that this is about to become the new cultural hit (barring any major issues) in the wake of Horizons launch, and while some of it is bad luck, I don’t know what Sony were thinking? I know it ultimately probably has very little impact on sales. But if there was any studio or IP that I thought would confidently amazing to GOTY-contender level games, it would be Zelda or Souls.
