Which by the way, now that I can admit to playing Elden Ring early, I have to say how much I am taking advantage of and loving the shit out of Quick Resume. Being able to jump in between Elden Ring and Cyberpunk within seconds has been amazing
And hey, if you’re willing to play offline, quickplay means you can finally play a From Souls game where you can essentially pause it. No matter what’s happening around you, if someone is at your door, or you suddenly have to hit the bathroom, don’t worry about finding grace checkpoint. Just go to the homescreen and the games is paused…Thanks Uncle Phil!

Horizon can’t catch a break at all. Thought they would escape from BoTW only for another to show up.
I think Horizon did fine no? With digital I think it sold more than Zero Dawn (or not?)
Horizon will likely outsell Elden Ring over time, but moreso referring to the critical reception and mindshare.
But yeah it’s a very different experience and it’ll be successful in its own right, but I just want Elden Ring right now.
I mean momentum. I believe people joked (though not really) about Horizon showing up at the time that could have been “ground-breaking” only for Zelda to happen and ruined it. Now here comes Elden Ring. Kiss that GOTY goodbye.

Honestly speaking Horizon for all its greatness is again coming in a year with a fromsoft game, a Bethesda game, possibly a Zelda and a God of War. It never stood the chance at GOTY. It’ll likely still be nominated tho.
Well this year it’s also gonna have to deal with GoWR and Starfield 
Seriously though I never understood the push for Horizon to be some legendary game, like putting it alongside BotW was disrespectful af (with all due respect to Horizon and GG) but it’s against games that push boundaries and design forward, Horizon is very well made and polished up and trimmed down Ubisoft game.
