So 2 things stood out to me in the XboxEra review:

  1. Stakes of Marika that allow quicker trips back to the bosses. That is a massive improvement all on its own.

  2. Co-op. You mentioned that your character was essentially leveled down to match your partnerā€™s. Isnā€™t this a change from previous Souls games where your co-op summons maintained their own level and stats so that you could chance summoning an OP companion? I get that itā€™s all in the name of fairness, but Iā€™ve always enjoyed the co-op aspect of the game where I can summon someone who can just clear everything for me if Iā€™ve been stuck in a certain area for absurd lengths of time.

there seems to be a lot of attempts made by the game for this, much much more than any of their previous games. So yeah itā€™s safe to say itā€™s definitely their most accessible game yet.

Bro i really didnā€™t. I thought 90-91 would be where it would come at max. 96 is just unparalleled for even Fromsoft, I thought Bloodborne would not be beaten but here I am just as shocked.

hearing the PC optimization is not as good prior to patch, so holdin out hope for the day 1 patch to solve much of the issues.

Bruh the IGN review says itā€™s just as hard as usual FromSoft. Bruh canā€™t they sell a $10 DLC that unlocks difficulty sliders and Iā€™d buy it for real :sob:

Itā€™s not about the introduction and learning for me, I just ainā€™t have the capacity for frustration anymore

You canā€™t stealth bosses, so that would be tough. Ranged can work great but you need to be patient.

Both. If you have VRR you should not have much of an issue, but I still have a non VRR display so I would like the framerate to be more stable than it was in that footage.

I had to check Metacritic myself. This game must be absolutely ridiculous in the best way to score that high. Like what in the worldā€¦
