Elden ring will probably be a good middle ground game for people who don’t really enjoy the punishing and tedious aspects of souls games, as fromsoft have really improved on aspects of all their previous games and have added in new and interesting mechanics.

Thats what I hope, I’d like a lot more normal RPG mechanics and less annoying Soul mechanics.
If it is a middle ground approach then I expect a lot of the core fans to melt down and call the game a failure even if they don’t have to experience certain aspects of the game.

After watching Matty’s impressions yesterday and SkillUp’s impressions today, im day one for Elden Ring as it looks too good and far more accessible to pass up. I don’t remember if I was able to do so in Sekiro but for Elden Ring, im hoping that I can change the attack buttons from RB/RT to X/Y as im much more comfortable using the the face buttons for combat than I am the shoulder/trigger buttons.
