Nice review, I’ll check this one out.
I’m bumping this thread b/c I’ve seen a few people reference this game in the what are you playing thread. I also started this game a few weeks ago and am still playing it. I do like it. I probably do one run a night. maybe two. I like the mining aspect which makes this game unique in the genre. I also enjoy the checklists the game throws at you. Do a run with a goal in mind, get the checkmark/achievement.
I will always compare games like this to vampire survivors. I would play vs runs for hours in a row. doing just one more was always an easy decision for me. And those were 30 min runs (before I knew about the 15 min runs you can do).
So I think the big difference is you never feel powerful in DRGS. I always feel week and am on the run. I am very early in this so things can change. And I don’t want to knock a game for doing something different. I just wish I would sometimes feel powerful and could go on the offensive.
Well, time to go do my nightly run. Would love to hear other people’s experience with this one and any tips you might have.
