The thing is, it could be FF7R because that picture is FF7R, but people seem to believe it’s CC now too. If it’s both…hey let’s go!

If FF7R doesn’t get announced for Xbox today, then it never will and I will finally bite the mf’ing bullet and finish the PS4 version. :upside_down_face:

If FF comes back to Xbox, I genuinely wonder of this ABK deal has anything to do with it and how previous PS exclusives are starting to hit Xbox.

Dibs the one with the tiny hat!

Personally I don’t think so, more that Sony just paid a handsome amount for timed exclusivity.

I think that companies will stop accepting moneyhats in advance. Granted Square Enix don’t care, but if they cared - they would have learnt it hard way with FF16.

Yeah and being told if they do it more, they’ll pull cod off PS could be a very convincing way to get them to stop :joy:

I know they probably won’t be like that but sometimes in business they do need to be a bit cutthroat

Probably more Xbox just being in a better position than they ever have been than ABK

But knowing said company that’s doing better than ever is about to gobble up ABK probably is in the mind of these companies too

I mean the acquisition that is bigger than all other publishers combined certainly should have raised an eyebrow in any sensible company. Granted Square Enix is not the one so…

Yeah could be a little of everything, MS buying ABK though is a very clear sign of how MS is taking gaming seriously so these 3rd parties might start to think is this isn’t really a good idea doing exclusive deals.

Didnt FF16 drop the exclusively on playstation tagline from their trailers? Something tells me that is timed as well. They also went day 1 on pc i think.

We don’t know yet. But we will see.

The fact that Square Enix accepted moneyhat in advance - before launch of the consoles without even checking the market reality - was absolutely brain dead decision.

FFXVI is still a 2 year timed exclusive to my knowledge.

I don’t believe they mentioned any exclusivities during their third party showcase.

I thought it was 12 months then got extended?
