Xbox owns the entire Sierra catalogue now.
Xbox owns Geometry Wars and Blur.
Glad to see this over. Here’s hoping the team’s in communication with the Williams family and Tony Hawk for their contributions

Just monumental. It just represents so much for the future. We know Phil said that things would be great even without ABK, but this speeds things up drastically !
Now onto the next MS event this year : Blizzcon !
Figures N4G will be so upset. Any positive comment without any shot at others get downvoted. Whatever. Sticking here at home.
What a great day.
The growth in head count over the last few years is staggering.
So, a (ballpark) 8x increase in headcount over a 3-year period. Absolutely nuts.
Very excited about what the future holds.
to be fair it could just mean the old THPS games coming to the GP service just like COD. on a second thought i’m okay with Vicarious being a part of Blizzard as long as they’re given the freedom to also handle the IP and not just assisting the OW/wow team.
To think MS also owns Battle net as well now.
Everyone is happy except bitter angry Sony fanboys that wanted Sony to push out everyone else like they did with Sega.
I’m about to OD on salt someone send help
I’m glad that MS have a good reputation for how they treat their employees, and hope that they’re at the very least neutral towards unionization. This could be a massive step forward for worker’s rights in the game development sphere, which is direly-needed.
I want to believe that MS are too aware of the PR and that the fourth estate’s attention (such as it is lol) will mean immediate relief to the ABK employees that were suffering under previous management.
Speaking personally, I’m relieved because this means that Xbox bowing out of gaming is practically an impossible scenario now (to my understanding at least). I’ve invested a decent amount of money into this ecosystem and it’s good to know they aren’t going to close up shop. Having a more stable Xbox will be good for the industry too!
I do hope they ramp up their cloud efforts now that some of the heat is off, since I do think what they were building towards would be beneficial to a lot of consumers.
If that’s what it is, it is what it is. But I gotta wonder why that’s the case. I get MW3, I’m a bit surprised about Diablo 4 though. But why wouldn’t they be able to drop a lot of older stuff on it? We just gotta wait and see I guess.
Now I understand the “coming months”. They want Bobby’s ass out the door before doing the roundtable.
It’s lovely to see so many games used in the trailer. It shows you how much the platform have evolved. Great way to end with door opening from Starfield. Like the game itself, the endless journey begins.
He deserved it. That man made the CMA look like total fools.
Microsoft signed a deal with CWA to not go against unionisation and be neutral, this has already allowed some to take this up at Bethesda. With Bobby gone at the end of the year that would instantly make it a lot better for a lot of people as well. Microsoft will have to be on top of it though and make sure they have systems in place to weed out the shitheads.
Finally!!!
So very happy that the ABK acquisition is officially done. While I don’t think COD being yearly will change until next generation, im looking forward to seeing how Microsoft implements ABK and what their direction for them to be.
But first things first - a round table (hopefully) and then adding games to Game Pass every month. I would add 1-2 games in the beginning and 1-2 games in the middle of each month throughout 2024. A lot of games will get play time and what’s even better is that if Microsoft has a slow month for Game Pass in general, this will fill it and also allow Microsoft to continue to spread out their first party exclusives throughout the year.
What a great day!!! Xbox baby!!!
P.S. - Who’s next???
Currently they are, as we even had Bethesda employees that were brought to the white house to speak about it.
Microsoft is going to have a solid holiday season and no reason to just throw every game ala Bethesda in Game Pass right away when everyone can only play one game at a time. Better to spread it out starting in January. First ABK drop in the second week of January and then Developer Direct hopefully at the end of January. Would be a great start to kickoff 2024.
