Well thought i beat it finally had luck on my side and got the antechamber to open a side. Got the rooms to fall so i could get to that side and received a key for an area i already found. Got through that puzzle and got hit with another puzzle that needs other puzzles find ahead of time… back to the grind
Lol, same thing happened to me tonight. Finally got in the antechamber and found out that the game just keeps going.
Argh they just had an update on Xbox so I lost my Quick Resume - was on a really long run and had just solved the darts (thankfully wrote down the answer) and got some good rooms ffs…
Remembering why I really, really fucking hate rogue-likes and any game that doesn’t let me save anywhere I want, as it’s a big fuck you to anyone who can’t take as long as they want every gaming session grr…
EDIT: Nooooo the fucking numbers change every time - I figured out the logic but still means it’s a pain in the ass when I hadn’t even got to benefit from it the first time
Yeah, to Siks point earlier, those arent the puzzles that matter. They get harder as you keep going and they really are just a means to get a couple keys (or a special one on occassion) but it becomes less relevant the further you go. The real puzzles are much broader than that.
Yep I think I’ve figured out the pictures this time, and remembered finally to keep checking the blueprint to ensure I don’t block myself off lol.
It’s just such a pain in the arse the lack of saving given many of us are often called away from a game
Well that sucks i just opened access to door 46 just had to see if i could make my way back there…(probably wouldn’t) but yeah still no idea about the pictures meanings but I’m at the point in just going to roll credits. Game is okay but not for me but going to finish it. I think i was on day 13 but now guessing I’m going to have to hope to get the right things on the redo to open up 46 again.
Doing Blue Prince to start off the Spring Subathon today, so tune in but obviously be aware of potential spoilers!
So I wanted to ask as I don’t care about spoilers, what room connects to the antechamber? Or do we have to be trying to enter from a specific side to get inside?
You enter the antechamber by whichever door of the antechamber you open, provided that there is a room connected to it with viable entrance.
Opening antechamber doors is the tricky part.
Have you perhaps found a Secret Garden key? Try to open locked door on either of the outer walls with it and solve a puzzle within. Found a broken lever? Maybe try it in the greenhouse Got excess of keys, lockpick or Master Key? Time to see what’s behind those doors in the Great Hall. Or just check the current day’s layout in Drafting Room. Managed to put together a Power Hammer in workshop? Inspect the walls of Secret Garden or Weight Room. Mechanarium also has a lever for one of the doors, but you have to find blueprints for it first.
A lot to work towards, as I haven’t gotten any of those rooms just connected to the south entrace on day 6 I think. So I had the thought that there’s something to find or a room to draft to enter.
And thank you for the advice.
I rolled credits, but have not finished it, and I am satisfied with my experience. I think that there is a lot more here to discover but the arduous task of lining up the rooms makes for it to stop being fun pretty quickly.
An example would be the timed safe. Drew that in the outer room, entered the time after figuring out what to do, and then when back to drafting only for it to immediately draft me a Freezer. So either I waited 1 hour and 20 mins, or restart the run.
I think that is an error. An edge case, but a game shouldn’t be making me this frustrated. I know what to do, I’ve done it, let me get the reward.
Yup that’s why i dropped the game the RNG is just to horrible. And the gameplay loop isn’t enough to keep me interested. Wasted several runs just trying to get into the antechamber again. I know how but getting the right combo of items and rooms and than get the right combo to get to the right side to get back in. And reading other opinions it seems the rng is just worse the further you try to go.
I’m sure it’s great for those who enjoy puzzle games but the rng just killed it for me.
Antechamber levers work “wirelessly”. Just find one in a room anywhere and it will open one of the doors. Then just make a path to it.
You get some tools to engineer the rooms, but you also get a lot more rooms in your deck to pull, so it is a balance. I think there is a mid game hump that the loop doesn’t quite work perfectly, and I think it should be cleverer in making sure you’re not gated off from progressing, like *Inscryption. *
