Bethesda/Machine games are doing an Indiana Jones Game (Confirmed)

Why? Xbox already has enough FPS games, and 3rd person action-adventure isn’t something Xbox has much of right now. This sounds perfect, and I don’t think FPS really fits Indiana Jones.

Screw any kind of drama, assuming it’s action adventure, I really think it should be third person. And if exclusive it indeed fills that “hole” of no third person action adventure games on Xbox.

I think players want to see Indy, I sure do, not first person please. But we’ll see. It’s very far away anyway.

One thing Machine games does well is the shooting aspect so idk how that translates to third person.

I guess technically no platforms have been announced.

I know Phil must be salivating at all the stuff they’re working on. That he cant speak about yet.

Well what’s great about any new Bethesda game announced, we know it is coming to Xbox and Game pass.

Fans of other consoles can worry and beg for it to come to their platform. Xbox gamers don’t have to worry about that.

They made 3 Indiana Jones 3D action adventure games after the point&click adventures. First was Infernal Machine (Tower of Babel in germany) on PC and N64 which was an awesome Tomb Raider like game with puzzles, platforming and action.

The successor to this was Emperors Tomb and good but not great. You can play this on Xbox One and Series via backwards compatibility. Its a bit clunky but still worth your time.

Then they made another Indy game for Wii and PS2, i heard good things about this but do not have the hardware to play it myself. Sadly the Indy game for 360 got canceled when Lucas Arts scaled down their game development.

Yeah was Emperors Tomb. Found a cheap copy on Ebay to try it again. I remember it feeling like a decent attempt at the genre, scrappy and using shovels, bottles and chairs to take down enemies more than guns. Would like a new game to favour that heavy fisticuffs too.

You will kill nazis and discover ancients ruins. We’ll probably see some dog fights missions a tank setpiece and a ancient folk maybe ALIENS or even a ridicules nuke??? But for the love let it be in game. Not a cutscence galore

Regardless of the exclusivity situation a AAA Indiana Jones game from a respected developer is extremely extremely exciting. Developers have spent decades trying to ape Indiana Jones’ swashbuckling adventures, but now we’re getting a serious attempt at the real article.

Yeah I wonder if that were to happen if we would get this “is it exclusive” stuff again, since it’s a licensed franchise, Star Wars. It’s absolutely possible that more Xbox studios might take on other licenses. If Indy is a succes I can definitely see a sequel happen.
