Got my navy brass as well and Iām in love. So comfortable I wear it everyday walking the dog and practically forget they are on. For gaming they are amazing and even on xcloud they rock. Also Iām a new fan of hi fi audio now just wow hearing songs in hifi is a game changer
I really do not need yet another set of headphones but every single comment is trying to convince me otherwise.
Some reviews channels (LTT) were complaining about its in-game audio performance. Is it good?
Iām coming from astro a50s and the sound is so crisp on the portals. I think most people audio problems have been about the bass. Since most gaming headphones go hard on the bass but this isnāt good alot of the times because it muddies everything else. If big bass is what you want then these may not be for you but you can also adjust it with the equalizer. My biggest issues with the headset are more in not having alot of customization and not being able to use dual audio like the xbox headset. Altogether though Iām extremely happy with my purchase. Its exactly what I wanted when I set out to get 1 headset that does it all very well

The feedback we received from a number of customers regarding connectivity issues with the Beoplay Portal Headset has been taken very seriously by our development team. Having worked tirelessly to come up with a solution, we are now pleased to inform that a software update addressing any connectivity concerns will be available in the B&O app from Wednesday 29th of September.
The software update (Version 2.0.9) includes the following fixes:
- Fixed issue with poor audio and dropouts over Xbox connection
- Improvements to handling of TikTok
- USB volume improvements
- Fixed a bug with a loud pop sound when switching away from voice call
- Fixed a bug with distortion sound on the right side, for some headsets
- Fixed a bug where going to 0 on USB causes no playback on BT
- Fixed a bug where Portal would sometimes not reconnect on BT
Looks like some good bug fixes but no dual Bluetooth still kills this headset for me.
How do I get this update, will it be delivered through the Xbox? Or my B&O app on my phone?

Yessir! Just fire up the app and it willl notify you that there is a new update.
Almost managed to grab one. One unit appeared on Brazilian Amazon with great pricing even though it was imported, but I couldnāt complete the order and it was gone.
I dunno what changed recently but Amazon BR started handling importation with way fairer prices than before. Thereās even lots of other B&O phones.

Itās so weird that this thread got an update⦠Iām currently dealing with a support nightmare after dealing with a defective left cup on my Beoplay Portals that I bought in September. Long story and I planned on writing a review for the site if I ever get them backā¦. So far itās not looking great.
