I don’t believe that at all.
Xbox leaks like a screendoor on a submarine, and they’ve NEVER had a problem with it.
We knew about this supposed Kojima game when it was just an agreement between KojiPro and Xbox, not even a game.
Sony and Nintendo keep shit locked tight, but Xbox ALWAYS leaks.
We already know what we’re getting at TGAs.

Eh I feel Nintendo recently has been super leaky. Outside of the smash stuff we already knew alot of the stuff that was announced at the last two directs due to leaks
I’m scared the expectations for this game will be too high. Outer Worlds was great for what it was, and I imagine this is going to be a similar experience, at least scope-wise.

The problem with outer worlds is people wanted fallout but they got mass effect/KotOR. (at least one of the problems) similarly, if people expect skyrim here they may be disappointed. This is partially due to just how similar Outer worlds and Fallout look. This may be different due to the (probably) much higher budget this will have compared to OW.
I never got an answer on this, are companions confirmed?
There was a job posting for the audio department that I believe said something about party members.

Nothing is really “confirmed” until we have official statements from Obsidian/Xbox. But all the rumors/leaks say there are companions.

How can it be similar scope-wise when more than 100 people are working on Avowed while only a small team of devs worked on The Outer Worlds?
Avowed will be Obsidian’s biggest game ever by a large margin. I recall reading that this is the game they always wanted to make but didn’t have the budget.

I mean they managed to keep Bethesda a secret. At the VGAs they managed to keep the Series x and HellBlade 2 reveals under wraps as well as the reveal of Perfect Dark. I don’t really believe in controlled leaks anyway. I remember back on Gaf people thinking NTKRNL was a controlled leak, basically revealed the entirety of Xbox E3 that year. (Not to mention leaked Scalebound )I doubt MS wanted that.
I recall an industry person (Shinobi maybe?) saying something along the lines of: it’s almost never a good idea to leak things intentionally. The cons heavily outweigh the pros and he never heard of anyone intentionally doing it. Not that it doesn’t happen but almost never.
