More Mirage info from Jor.
Damn there was like, a brief moment there where people were feeling optimistic about the future of Assassin’s Creed and it was safe for fans to come out and talk about liking the series. Now we seem to be back to the status quo where message board threads and comment sections are 80% posts about how much Assassin’s Creed sucks and everyone hates it.

I think Mirage looks very refreshing, and you can definitely pick out some fun looking game play elements from the cgi. There were definitely some throwback things, and from some videos with people that got to talk with Ubisoft it sounds like more info will be coming fairly soon. I like the ability to use traps and vendor stalls as obstacles for persuers and really just am ready for this game when it comes out. I don’t see a ton of point to the deluxe version if all it has is the Prince of Persia stuff, but the $50 price on this is nice.
More linear and more focused could help it. Going back to roots is fine too, but hopefully not all the way to the first one. Hopefully the combat is much better than the first and with more elements from the modern games as well.
