Are you starting a new Elden Ring playthrough for the DLC?

\I started a new playthrough and after a couple hours into it I just don’t think I have the time for another 30-50 hour playthrough of this game sadly at this point in my life.

My backlog already becons me too as it is.

Due to this revelation I loaded up my level 120 tarnished 45 hour playthrough of my character which has defeated the final boss and hasn’t gone into ng+ yet.

I tried some combat and I’m pretty rusty  hopefully the dlc isn’t too hard with my endgame character.

For past souls games and bloodborne I always did a new playthrough but Elden ring is just too big !

Currently doing a new playthrough, my knowledge of the game is good enough, that I’m back at the lookout farming runes after 12 hrs and at level 105. I have gotten used to the movement of the game again, I just need to fight more enemies to remember their attack patterns.

As for the DLC not being too hard on a higher-level character, my experience with Dark Souls/2/3 says that yes it will be tough. But I don’t think it will be too much harder than the Haligtree areas.

I’m using my 136+ hours char, no time to start again

For me starting over is about getting rid of the rust, since I will either face enemies too strong for me to adjust in time. Or enemies so weak I can’t pick anything up.

Well, looks like level isn’t going to contribute much to the DLC difficulty. As FromSoftware is implementing a similar system to Sekiro for the DLC.

NO way going through all the pain again lol. I’m Faith build and some late parts of the game were super hard at moments. Maybe will try something else, but I like my Blasphemous blade too much :sob:.

I’m using my 138 level character. I’m not trying to start over

Are you kidding?

I’m going to play Dark Souls Remastered, Dark Souls 2, Dark Souls 3 & then Elden Ring before I touch the DLC.

It’s the only way to be sure I can beat it.

I’ll use my 200 level character who’s in a NG+3 cycle for the expansion. Wish me luck! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Going in level 337 NG++. Is it too high? Probably. Can I use pretty much any build I want? More than likely.

Nah, will just play with my original character.

I just booted Elden Ring up and I’m totally lost lol Level 177, 136 hours, no new game plus… man I don’t remember how to play it after two years, there are too many options on the grace thingies, I have too many items, too many stuff to remember…

LOL, I think I finished Elden Ring around the lvl 150 ish, maybe lower. But after seeing the new DLC Erdtree Expansion previews, I have the same over whelming thoughts on jumping back in. I think I’ll be waiting until I have the time and focus to play ER DLC, maybe this winter, but I will return.

I’m mopping up everything I can in NG+ to have as high as level as possible. at 176 now and previews stated you want at least 170-220 for it so I’m hoping to get up another 10 or 20 by the time review code shows up.

That’s awesome. It’s one of my favourite games of all time, but it took me about a year to complete it when I had a few quarterly hardcore gaming weekends haha. Where Lies of P this year I finished in a month, because it wasn’t as large and had a focused item, gear, and progression. ER just feels like a fall/winter game to me when I can give it more time and focus. Hope you enjoy your experience!
