Are there advantages for HDMI 2.1 if I don't have a modern 120 Hz TV?

I have a 3-years-old budget Samsung 4K TV. I also have pre-ordered a Series X.

Since all the cables are hidden behind a panel, it would be a hassle to replace the HDMI cable that currently connects my One X to the TV. Because of that I was thinking of using the same HDMI cable that came with the One X on my Series X instead of the 2.1 one that comes with the new console.

My question is: would I miss any benefits by not using a 2.1 HDMI cable on the Series X if I don’t have a modern TV?

I don’t think so, pretty sure all the features will require a 2.1 tv so you’re not going to get anything extra by using the cable.
