AOE3 may not have been on par with what 1 and 2 did at their respective times, but to me it always has been a great game, with tons of great improvements to the formula and a highly addictive gameplay loop. I have not played it in many many years but I’m excited to jump back!

Yeah, I think it was underrated to be honest. For some reason, I always really liked the sound design in it, especially the tower cannons being fired.
